Thinking about it im actually agreeing with you. Think it’s going to be a first round KO first punch he lands will take usyk out. See you on the 21st
Contrary to the completely fictitious narrative which has been pushed by Belly fans, many members of the British media and fight fraternity etc. Belly did not win the early rounds he was at very best 1-2 down after 3 and then he had a good spell from round 4-7 before Usyk made an adjustment and took over and if the ref hadn't been in the bag and come to his rescue he would've 100% been knocked cold or his grotesque shaved flabby chimp ass would've been crawling around and dribbling spittle on the canvas in a semi-conscious state like a big ugly giant baba. And that was against the slowest most flat-footed Usyk we've ever seen who was past his prime long ago. Hence why that bald colostomy bag shamelessly ducked him for so long and is on camera even before Usyk beat AJ the first time shaking like a pooping dog's knees at the thought of ever stepping foot into a ring with him. Belly's own brother telling him shortly after the final bell that ''it's the best I've ever seen you box'' Timestamped This content is protected Could Usyk lose the rematch? Sure, in complete contrast to certain other top P4P have gloves won't travel crappy resume stars who have only fought two legit punchers their size in almost twice the amounts of fights as Usyk has had and they were dropped by 1 of them and needed their 3 home judges to rescue them against the other despite one being C level and the other being a novice who had never fought anyone world class before He's giving away huge physical advantages Has fought tons of savage or legit bangers and KO artists, not only his size but bigger or way bigger which they have never done even once And he's been fighting in his opponents backyards and on the road religiously and Saudi is hardly neutral soil for him But hopefully Usyk has one more top performance in him and will knock his ass smooth out this time.
Yeah, the narrative that Fury won the early rounds doesn’t anchor itself in reality and detailed analysis. Usyk was bullying Fury around the ring, dictating position and connecting with many hard, well chosen, meaningful punches which no doubt took their toll on Tyson as the fight wore on. I find it laughable when anyone claims that round 9 was the pivot and turned it all around for Usyk. By round 9 Fury had already copped a good going over, including a busted nose - round 9 simply punctuated Usyk’s well established momentum, a crescendo that Olek had been clearly building toward over 5 rounds in total (rds 1-3 and rds 7-8).
I personally think Usyk severely underperformed first time around, I see him winning in a shut out this time, either by mid rounds KO or wide UD.
Usyk winning the first fight doesn’t moot the concerns re a possible repeat of slanted scoring and dodgy refereeing conduct the second time around.
Agree with everything but I feel that even if Usyk wins he's going to stick around too long until he eventually loses. If he wins the rematch he needs to retire immediately and go down as one of the best ever.
You don't usually win rematches period when you lost 8-9 rounds in the first fight, and you definitely don't win "easily". Going in Fury and Sugar H realize they can't outbox Usyk, I think the gameplan is going to be to make the fight as rugged on the inside as possible and muscle and bulk Usyk around. I think Fury is going to willingly give up rounds to try to overpower Usyk. The thing is, if he can't (and I don't think he can), he's gonna run out of gas and end up getting stopped by Usyk.
It’s not an easy fight for Usyk. He’s fighting a much larger man with a very fluid offensive style. That is not easy to overcome at age 37. The first fight was extremely competitive and taxing for both men. I give Usyk a slight advantage going in because he hasn’t abused his body but a Fury win would not surprise me.
Whether it resulted in a close fight or clear margin of victory, you can’t take for granted what Usyk has to bring to the table every time out against his bigger opposition. A good measure of Olek’s defence is his actual offence - backed by an exceptional work rate - but a work rate that has now lessened a bit over the last few years. Not to discredit Fury’s work during rounds 4-6 but I also saw Usyk taking an uncharacteristic breather starting at round 4 - which made him that bit more vulnerable. Sure, by round 7 Usyk had adjusted but he had also become that much more active again.
Exactly. It really doesn't. I had Usyk 3-0 up after 3 but, as said, the best case scenario for Belly by that point is 1-2. He had that good spell after that but then Usyk took over. Belly won 5 rounds absolute max and that's being charitable to him and when I say it was the slowest most flat-footed and easiest to hit version of Usyk we've seen I'm being totally honest. Even Belly himself said he was expecting Usyk to be much more difficult to hit which was rather revealing because by saying that he inadvertently admitted one of the reasons why he wanted nothing to do with him for so long albeit we already knew that because of his comments regarding the Cunningham fight
Sadly I think you're right. He should've retired after the first fight. He clocked the game and won everything there was to win. Olympic gold. World amateur gold. European gold. World champion at CW and HW. Undisputed champion at CW and HW with no more divisions left to conquer and having beaten all the world champions at those weights. If he was 5-10 years younger and hadn't earned the fortune he has since beating AJ and Belly it would be different but even then many might call it a day after achieving all that if they'd earned their millions
I agree. Just retire. Plenty of money, hot wife etc, burgeoning movie career, what more could you want? Has he got kids? I dunno. Maybe that’s something he also might want to get on to. Pop out some little “Oleks” - like the equivalent name “Alex”, it can be applied to either gender. For ease of reference, just put a number after the names, ala George Foreman and his brood - showing absolute respect for the individual identities of his offspring. Usyk’s nuts can only take so many low blows before fatherhood becomes a moot point. Dubois did his level best to fast track Usyk to infertility. To a lesser extent, Fury perpetuated the theme and objective. At any rate, IF Olek had made that wise decision - to retire, we just know that there would still be that contingent who would, believing that it was a closer fight than it was, claim that Usyk avoided and ducked the rematch - a rematch that they would “calculate” Tyson as having had a good chance of winning. Like multiple fights that Fury somehow managed not to engage in, including during the period of his deliberate delaying of the Usyk fight - certain fans would always afford Tyson the “imagined” margin of superiority. It’s a concern when your “paper” credits approximate to or even exceed your material credits. A career well “imagined”. One very strange (or not so strange) thing on this board - fair critique of Fury inexplicably defaults you into a “hater” and an AJ “fanboy” at the same time. Lol. An obviously “loaded” and wayward opinion to say the least. Says more about the accusers’ luggage than anyone else’s.
