Of course, as none of us will have forgotten, Audley Harrison wasn't only the best in the UK or Europe but the World.... And as for "No-one is hyping him", I can only imagine that you have the television on mute when the commentary is on or when he's trying to convince us he's the new George Foreman. :-(
Yes but Audley was about 32 when he won gold. And no, I don't think I've ever heard Fury say he's the new George Foreman. :huh
Honestly, unless I am completely misunderstanding what he is trying to say, he thinks he is the new George Foreman. More like George Formby if you ask me.
I seen young heavyweight prospect for the past 25 years. The first thing to look at his his over all game in the ring regardless of who's he in there against. In Fury's case he's tall, skilled, has fairly quick hands, and good, but perhaps not world class power. He is also aggressive in the ring. I don't think any of the above statements are hyped. Since Fury is very young, its best to wait and see how he develops. Once Fury faces a good journeyman or fringe level contender we will have a better idea of how far he can go. His chin and stamina must be tested in the division. I do like the fact that he was raised around boxing.
Tyson Fury is a top prospect He has hand speed , good combinations, size and supposedly he has never hit the canvas in his life so must have a decent chin , i dont know if he will ever be world champion but if you look at the current champs , he certanley has a chance and he is better then anything to come out of america in a long time ! he is only 20 give the lad a few years and we will see his true potential
yeah he is a brit , im just saying america hasnt really got a top heavyweight prospect making much noise bar arreola and maybe kevin johnson
He's had 4 fights! We shouldn't even be talking about him till he's had at least 10-15 fights. What is it about some of todays fighters? :huh They beat a couple of bums then they/or their promoter starts declare them the next world champs!! :rofl Very strange days...
im just waiting for a few more fights but overall i think he will be pretty damn good as a pro, there are also 2 other large heavies out there who just turned pro. David Price who i think beat fury as an amature, and Deontay Wilder who i saw some clips of and looks pretty decent for a rookie. if these guys pan out it would be very awesome to be a fan of heavyweight boxing. i also saw a rumor a few weeks ago about that giant chinaman zhang zielewhatever the one who is also 6'6" or 6'7" was looking to turn pro
