No way he fights 3x in 2022. 2x max and thats pushing it. In any event it will be good to see him back in the ring against someone other than Wilder.
Nothing with Fury would surprise me. I could see him taking a couple years off and coming back to fight whoever is champion. I do think that Usyk messed up his plans he wanted the big fight with AJ for undisputed. As much as I think Fury would beat Usyk and he certainly isn't afraid of him but Fury would be praying that AJ can somehow win the rematch with Usyk and salvage a fight with Fury.
I actually sort of agree with this. Fury has said that there is no money in Whyte and he only wants the big money. If Fury is forced to fight anyone who does not put a ton of cash in his wallet, he could very well just walk away from it. But let's see what the offer is. If the money's right, he'll fight until he is 80 years old.
He will probably never fight usyk, i dont see him risking his reputation by losing to usyk. He will probably say in a month that he wants to spend time with his family and retire and maybe come back in a few years when wilder and joshua are retired then clean house then permanently retire at 36 or 37.
” It’s tough to get out of bed to do roadwork at 5am when you’ve been sleeping in silk pajamas” - Marvin Hagler. Fury has little interest in putting in the hard grind anymore, he enjoys the talk, but not the walk. His skillset and natural physical advantages of course are enough for much of the time to see him through. Mr Fury sure is not Marciano regarding training camp longevity, and i do believe Joe Louis record of 25 defences of the title is not going to be threatened by Fury. i truly do not think Fury will have many more fights, and if he is lacking motivation for the sport i hope he does retire, as frankly i do not want to see a young gun beat Fury because Fury entered the ring with mental or physical chinks in his armour, due to poor preparation or out of ring distractions.
