He was a tough opponent with a large KO rate, against bums i'm sure.He offered little resistance really but it he wouldn't go down. All three bouts were kind of weighed in favour of the favourites really IMO ,Murray was too strong and the scotsman didn't seem to carry much weight with his punches although he boxed well but couldn't keep it up for twelve. The Daws opponent was a slugger fairly amateurish technically. I did enjoy them but just thought the odds were stacked on all
Tyson Fury is 20 years old. This was his 2nd pro fight. He's raw as ****, but there's a lot to work with. He can throw combinations, a quick jab, and moves around the ring better than men 30lbs lighter and 20 fights more experienced. There's a lot of potential there. He needs to work on his strength, upper body strength, because he wasn't really able to hurt this guy even though he was in complete control. If he hits the gym and takes his time before stepping up in class, in a few years time we could have a formidable heavyweight on our hands.
It’s too early to judge him at the moment, but he should be given credit for fighting a guy with a decent record (admittedly against poor opposition, but still 20 KO’s from 21 wins) in only his 2nd fight. There is a still lot he needs to improve on, but he is only 2o years old, and he was only training for4weeks for this fight. It’s going to be very interesting to see how he is in 12 months time.
He's got good skills. If he finds a trainer who'll force him to get into shape 90% of the time, he could go far. I'm not talking Frank Bruno style overly muscled, but something at least somewhat approaching Lennox Lewis (for the majority of his career...) or Wladimir Klitschko. It really could all come down to something as simple as that. We shall see if he has the dedication. I hope so.
He's got the offensive talent that for sure. He throws every punch nicely. Good jab, huge hooks, very impressive uppercut, and unusual to see good body punching from a big man straight out the amateurs. Natural speed. Needs to get into better shape which will come, he's only had a few weeks real pro training. I noticed improvement from the first fight. His stamina and strength and power will increase from that. We've gotta see how he lasts over 12 rounds, how his inside ability is, how good his chin is, his defence. But a good start.
The fight was stopped prematurely. Impressive performance by Fury though, he did extremely well against the opposition in this stage of his career. Too early to make any type of prediction though, let's see how well he fares against a opponent of similiar size...
It's way too early to start making predictions yet and it is clear that Fury has not yet matured physically. However, with his size, name, matinee idol looks, Fury is sure to attract a lot of media attention in years to come so I hope for British boxing that he does turn out to be something close to the real deal.
He should fight Audley next if he can get the fight and hopefully he will fight for the british championship early next year
He's a big, massive guy and looks to have natural boxing ability. Fast hands and good combination punching. I think he does need to build more power and increase his muscle mass, but he's only 20, and certainly has time to do that.
He looked good, he showed lots of promise, he has a lot of potential, its down to him to work hard and reach that potential, these is where a lot of fighters fall down. Apparently he has a good chin, i dont know if this is true, i guess we'll find out.
He has a lot of potential i just hope they dont rush him along and ruin him..He's only 20 and has plenty of time
