The only thing that worries me is that Tyson would have to go 12 full rounds. Joshua would have 12 rounds to land that right. And Tyson has the tendency to lose concentration, to sway from his gameplan and start engaging more. End of Klit fight for example. He does that with Joshua and its lights out.

The Fury that beat Wlad would have no problems with AJ.

Not only is that Fury a better fighter, but I believe it would be a horrible styles matchup for AJ.

Unfortunately we may never see Fury, at least that version of Fury, again.

That's like saying the version of Douglas who beat Tyson would beat Foreman and Ali. Yet he was utterly demolished by Holyfield in his next fight.

We simply don't know if Fury can 1) get himself into the same shape (and that'd be the easy part) 2) repeat the performance (here's were the rubber meets the road). Too many unknowns.

Define outbox. If you mean throwing 12 punches a round and landing 5 that isn't out Boxing that is spoiling. To outbox someone you have to have above a mediocre output of punches. You don't have to throw 100 a round but sitting back and feigning and throwing 12 punches isn't out Boxing someone. That is pathetic, boring, and doing the bare minimum to get by. That isn't a Boxing lesson.

Weird how he dominated on all the scorecards then.

It's almost like Wlad did much worse...

I wonder... Why would Wlad do so poorly? Why would he throw even fewer punches?

Can you tell me, you stupid ****?

Yes Tyson Fury in the shape he was v Wlad, outboxes AJ.

Wouldn't surprise me if AJ dropped Fury a few times too, so can't see it being too wide on scorecards

BUT we don't have that fury anymore. AJ biggest threat is now Wilder who isn't a great boxer but nobody can deny his power is insane. Similarly a Wlad rematch could be tough

He 'dominated' because he landed a pathetic 6 punches and the opponent 3 or 4. That isn't anything to brag about. Is that anything to brag about? If you want to act like that is some great achievement it is fine. Just realize that when compared to an actual masterclass like Calzaghe vs Lacy it really shows how pathetic it is. If Fury was so dominant he would have thrown and landed more punches. He didn't because he was too reluctant and scared for some reason. Why was he so scared to engage and finish the job like Joshua did?

Because Fury was winning comfortably? Why would he do anything differently when he's dominating on the cards?

Winning by doing essentially nothing. But boy what a schooling and a masterclass that was. Compare it to other fights people call a masterclass and a schooling. One is not like the others. Doing the bare minimum to get by isn't superlative. sure Fury won but it was in the worst way imaginable. It made Haye vs Valuev look entertaining.

Yes. It would've been much more impressive to get knocked down and be heading towards a SD or MD like AJ.

I agree. It may not be entertaining but it's domination.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. dominated fights by shutting down the opponent and nicking rounds with low punch output on many occasions. It's called boxing.

Are you also a massive critic of Mayweather's win over Pacquiao ?

I spent hours arguing with Rico about this. According to him, it's something like "Fury is garbage, but there's no explanation for why Wlad couldn't throw any punches against him. It may have been voodoo or aliens, but it definitely had nothing to do with Fury's defense."

He landed an averge of 7 hits per round and thats not including all the jabs , power shots and body shots.
    Furys body attack went un-noticed.

The only reason for the low out-put was due to Wlads chronic level of holding. How are you meant to throw shots when you have an octopus wrapped around you?
Go look at the 12th round. Wlad lands a shot then immediately holds. There was nothing coming back from Fury and yet he still reached out and grabbed him.

This has nothing to do with Wlads age either.

Watch round two against Chamber. Wlad has him almost blown out and instead of completing the job he friggin holds him!!!
Blame Wlad for the lack of action , not Fury.
