Currently, Fury isn't worthy of this type of discussion. I think we should wait and see what he looks like if he ever makes a serious effort to come back.

    You're deluding yourself now.
AJ went life-and-death. He did better than I expected though.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the fight as much as anyone. And it made me a fan of AJ I will admit.
But AJ was shaky and almost out of there. If that's what you think he should be doing against big-puching heavyweights his career won't last long at all.

If the Fury fight was an "embarrassment to boxing" as you claim, then Wlad must be the bigger source of embarrassment, since he lost almost every round. If Fury was pathetic, as you claim, how pathetic is Wlad ?

And then .... what does that make AJ ? ...... almost getting knocked out by pathetic Wlad who did nothing with Fury, and nothing SINCE the Fury loss .....

You can try to glorify AJ and Wlad while denigrating Fury but it just doesn't add up. Styles make fights. Fury easily beat Wlad by boring decision. AJ barely beat Wlad in life-and-death war.
AJ gets our praise for excitement.
Fury should be recognized as the superior boxer.

There's less chance of Wilder signing a contract to fight AJ than there is of Fury getting down to 245 pounds next month.

I agree, Fury doesn't sound healthy.
    We'll find out.

Exactly. This is why you can't use Fury's decision win over Wlad as proof that Fury beats Joshua and everybody else.

Knockouts are a part of boxing. If you win by knockout then you are the superior boxer even if you are getting out boxed and lose more rounds.

    I agree, styles make fights.
I agree, people should be able to enjoy a good fight and appreciate good fighters.
I'm a fan of Fury, Wlad and AJ, all three. They've proved themselves to me.

I do like people to give all fighters their due credit based on some sort of objective standards though. We all know Tyson Fury beat Wlad Klistchko when Wlad was "THE MAN to beat", and we all know AJ came far closer to losing his fight with Wlad than Fury did. On these points, it seems some people want to distort things to take away something from Fury. Which seems needless anyway, since Fury is quite capable of blowing his own career without people trying to minimize or reduce what he achieved at his best.

AJ's win was epic in its own right too. A classic fight, a glorious win. There's no need at all to build it up further by continuing to **** on Fury, as some are doing.

Fury is a fat, psychotic, washed up drugged out piece of waste. If he comes back he'd look like
a 45 yr old alcoholic plumber including showing a bit of ass crack.

He's finished as a legitimate force in the HW division. If he does return it will be only for a paycheck
because that's all he'll get for his efforts.

I'd rather see Wilder/AJ but that may be a dream.

I don't wish anything bad on the guy but something is very wrong with him health wise. Hopefully he gets this under control and is able to comeback.

    I agree.
I think Fury has a style to defeat Joshua, I don't have "proof". Likewise, others think Joshua beats Fury, they have no proof either.
That's why it would be nice to see Fury back and fit and for the fight to take place.

    I agree.
But if a fighter shows severe vulnerability to the point of being on brink of being stopped that makes it a close fight.
It's not what we consider dominance.

I have nothing but respect for AJ's performance. It just surprises me some people won't even begin to concede that Fury's win over Wlad was more comfortable, and against a more significant version of Wlad.
Even if it was a **** fight.

AJ would go for the ko vs fury we all saw fury put on his ass by cunningham a cruiserweight.
I got AJ to get the early to mid rounds ko.As good and awkward as fury is i feel like the wlad fight was his big hurrah.

    I completely agree

Different people are impressed by different things. Fury was better defensively, better able to nullify Wlad's offence. Joshua was better offensively and was more able to hurt and and ultimately stop Klitschko.

The thing is though, it's difficult to know which was the better version. Wlad was older and more inactive going into the Joshua fight but he may have been just as good physically and more determined and motivated mentally.

None of us know what Tyson Furry WOULD do. We do know what he HAS DONE:

    Ducked a rematch with Wlad.

    Done a lot of coke.

    Failed a PED drug test.

Gone off his rocker enough that he needs serious meds, a straightjacket and a rubber room.

Eaten a ****-ton of hedgehogs and pizza and boar entrails and cows and chickens and everything else, ballooning to 400-plus pounds.

Spent more time making videos (usually while lying in bed) talking about what he WOULD DO than he has actually training or acting like a boxer.

That's what Tyson Furry HAS DONE.

I'd favor peak Fury over peak AJ. I don't see that ever happening. If Fury comes back I think he'll be a shell of himself. Some will say that sentiment is a cop out, a preexcuse for Fury losing. But come on, looking at him, how can you not reasonably admit that is a strong possibility.

You look at footage of Furey in previous fights and realise what a natural talent he is,his movement is unorthadox and for such a large man his hand speed is fast so if he could evade AJs bombs I'm sure he would outbox him but honestly it would be something just to get back in the ring as he's 100 lbs overweight right?

Fury's a frustrating guy. He deserves all the blame. But then, as an actual fighter I do find him intriguing, which makes his imbicility and mental issues all the more frustrating
