It was unusual for fans to see two big guys looking to play chess for 12 rounds and not rock em sock em robots- to which is why Fury-Wlad was considered dull. Worse when the younger has to take out the old guard-we tend to blame the loss on age, when in fact every sport has to come to grips with the greats who don't know when to call it quits. With that said Fury's win over Wlad was OK IMO. Until Aj beat Wlad, that raised the bar for Fury doing it first. Similar to Calzaghe win over Hop. The more B went on to win the better Joe's win looked. AJ getting up off the deck against Wlad meant that Fury defused that whole concept of Klitschko taking the fight to him they way he tried against Joshua. Fury's win over Wlad was a strong win. Just not entertaining to me.
How often has Fury been the underdog? Off the top off my head, Chisora I, Waldo and Wilder I. He won all of them.
You mean, the one who got KO'd by Ross Puritty, Lamon Brewster or Corrie Sanders? Or maybe you mean the one who was knocked down 3 times by Samuel Peter? Or it may be the one who was being outboxed by Tony Thompson until he got the late stoppage? Aha, I don't think any version of Wladimir Klitschko easily deals with Tyson Fury. Somehow, I don't think you even believe that either.
What now? You know there's a "new" thing called youtube now, right?! Revisionist history is pretty easy to debunk nowadays. This content is protected
