He is talented fighter, you cant really take much notice of the fight with Mcdermott because he is still pretty much a novice and Mcdermott is repected alot in britain, i think he could beat him in a rematch but he just needs to settle his mouth down and stop calling everybody out because he just looks like a dick.
I heard somewhere that he is fighting on the Peter Manfredo-Matt Vanda card which I'm not if anyone noticed is being co-promoted by Mick Hennessy so that might well be a good rumour. I knew Mick had a Canadian side to his promotion but never knew he had connections in the US.
Tyson Fury will be in top ten, perhaps top five one day, but I doubt it he can become world champion, still, his career is young.
Too early to tell. But I believe in two years or so, he will become champion of the Commonwealth. I'd like to see him take on David Price, and Chisora. It wouldnt surprise me either if Fury went into the unlicensed circuit and fought Scott Gammer, the EBF champion. I only say so because of Fury's gypsy heritage, his father and uncle and cousin Bartley Gorman all fought either bare knuckle or on the unlicensed circuit. Seeing Fury get into the unlicensed scene would be tremendous, even if it was for one fight only.
Theres an article in the mirror from sunday about he had sparring sessions with lee swaby to prove his fitness. Lee went away feeling worse for wear, but furys flying out to states to fight.
I really wish he was the real deal because he would be great for boxing and that wishful thinking made me look at him with rose tinted glasses from the beginning but alas it isn't to be.
I heard he was injured.Im sure that once he is fit they wil have him fighting regular again. But i dont expect to see him fight anyone decent for a while.
Tyson Fury is poo. How on earth he is classed as a british 'prospect', i'll never know. Reckon Dallas / Larry Olub would spark him out easy.... And don't get me started on the McDermott fight.
