He was drinking before the ringwalk of the third fight, that's why he got knocked down twice, he was drinking. He only trained for one day in camp too and had a fry up every morning for 234 consecutive days in the lead up to the fight.
He said he was so hammered for the third fight that he didn't even remember it and it was only in the morning, when he was having his fry up washed down with 6 Carlings, that he knew he'd won because he saw it on the news, it didn't even bother him though because none of it matters, family is everything, family is everything, family is........Peter Fury may beg to differ.
And had a bottle of wine with his meal after. Andre, his manager, Dick Murdoch, Ken Patera, and there may have been one other, were having a drinking contest.
He's not an alcoholic mate, clearly just has a good time with it - especially on holiday. He's running in the morning, not reaching for the bottle. When he's back home it's mainly gym sessions and family time (yes I watch his insta too much). The difference after the Wlad fight (and what caused his downfall) was obviously the marching powder. Thankfully his family seem to be doing well keeping him away from that.
Usyk schools Joshua and Fury backtracks and calls it a day, "I told Paris no more and I mean it, I've got to think of my family, family is everything, this isn't about money anymore, you can't take it with you......" 6 months later he signs up for a weird crossover fight for massive money.
Oh aye but too insinuate Fury is scared (perhaps not the right word) of fighting Usyk, is a little bit daft.
Yeah not the right word and certainly not what I said, I'd say it's more he's avoiding the fight because either he's trying to get the highest price possible to take it or he is a little unsure of how he'd go about a fight with Usyk, a guy that has the ability to possibly make Fury look ordinary at times. I'd say it's 40/60 in favour of the latter.
“I was in a real dark place, kicking taxis and stuff. Then I woke up one day and realized I have a responsibility, so I’m making a comeback for all the people who suffer from kicking taxis. I intend to show them there is a better way.”
