Fury win over Wlad was the worst title winning effort in heavyweight history, and the worst title fight as well. That's not only credible but indisputably true

Povetkin, Pulev, and Haye were all better than anyone Fury ever fought aside from old man Wlad.

    Yup.

Fury did **** all to earn a title shot. And the only legitimate world class guys he fought came after the Wlad fight; Wilder, Whyte, Usyk.
I still detest the fact that the Wilder vs Fury trilogy took 3 years to conclude.

Wilder and Whyte were always bums too.

Yeah, but still among the top 10 at the time, at least in most publications.

    True.

    It's a good win.

It's tainted by the fact it was a stinkout of a fight.
It's tainted by the roadrunner impersonation when Wlad made it clear he wanted the rematch.
It's tainted by the question mark over Wlads mental state during that period.

    But...
It's still a very good win, it's just not without asterisks.

It's far from nothing - but it's not the era defining mark of a deserving new lineal champ that Fury's most diehard fans would like us to believe, either.

Whyte was decent, if inconsistent, and willing to fight pretty much anyone - he was a solid top 5 but never likely to be a serious champ either.

Wilder was a fraud - he doesn't have a fraction of Whyte's resume and ran away from him repeatedly... Probably still lower top ten standard, but did precious little to prove it and was relentlessly protected, with good reason.
