Tyson fury lost 4 fights in the amateurs.
    • Lost to Sardor Abdullayev (Uzbekistan) 31:36
    • Lost to David Price (England) 8:22
    • Lost to Ivan Bezverkhiy (Ukraine) 10:23
    • Lost to Maxim Babanin (Russia) 11-24
I can't find footage of any of these fights. Does anyone know how they went down? Interested to know exactly what happened with Price as there is a small possibility of a rematch and I have heard he dropped Price in that fight.

Can anyone with knowledge of the ams shed any light?

I think his fight with Price was only around his 10th contest.

I know what Fury says depends on the day of the week but this is what he said about David Price who was chosen to represent Great Britain ahead of him at the Olympics after Fury had lost to Price in 2006 as an amateur.

“I knocked him down in the fight, but lost it on points, It seemed nailed down that Price would be the super heavyweight fighting for Britain. I wasn’t selected because of politics.”

Fury also tried unsuccessfully to qualify to represent Ireland.

Fury was only 17 when they fought in amateurs, i think Price was 22. Obviously the age gap at such a stage in heavyweight boxing would have made such a difference.
