Did some people really forget what happened to the last guy who tried to box with Wlad from distance?

What's strange about Fury is that he has never faced a decent heavyweight that wasn't a midget. His last three fights, all against the shortest heavyweights his team could possibly find. And he pulled out of the Ustinov fight.

Usually before a world title fight one would expect the challenger to find opponents somewhat similar to the champ to be well prepared. Fury has done no such thing and chose the shortest rated HW they could find, that tells me his team isn't confident in his ability against tall HWs.

Didn't Stiverne beat Austin too? McCline was as slow as Christmas, Wach had no offense and no power either. Those guys were basically big punching bags. Fury has more skill I would wager to say than any of those guys.

And you are talking about one knockdown in 35 fights for Wilder. I just read an article on that fight, apparently his trainer was actually pleased how he recovered from the knockdown, said his senses were clear when he came back to his corner. He apparently got caught flush on the chin.

Wilder may not have a cast iron jaw, but many great fighters in history have not. Lennox Lewis, Wladimir Klitschko himself, Ken Norton, Joe Walcott, and Earnie Shavers to name a few. It certainly helps, but its not a definitive prerequisite if you can't minimize how much you get hit.

You forgot Dustin Nichols dropped him with a check jab. Firtha wobbled him as well with a check jab.

Even if Wlad hasn't fought fighters with a combination of height, reach, and skill, he still has more experience against tall HWs than Fury.

Do you know why some people believed Stiverne was s**** and joke of a title-holder before Wilder beat him? Because he was getting outboxed by ancient, shot to **** Austin. The guy whose prime version was beaten by Wlad with only one hand.

And the fact that Wilder's trainer chooses to give him credit for recovering against the lowest level of journeyman tells you all you need to know about Wilder's progress.

It was still just his 13th fight. And it was one legit knockdown in 35 fights. That's not enough to damn a career, sorry.

You should be past fighting guys like Sconiers by your 13th pro fight.

Going down against a low level journeyman with %23 KO ratio? That either shows he really has a glass jaw or like we've seen on multiple occasions, terrible balance. 35 fights doesn't mean much when more than half of it are against club fighters.

Btw I thought that KD could be a flash knock down until I read your post. Sounds like the KD was very legit.

35 fights, and not a single top 10 fighter. That says it all about Wilder.

Didn't Anthony Joshua just fight Jason Gavern in his 1oth or 11th?

You are really grasping at straws with this one.
