This vid explains how Fury is a master of the dark arts and how his inside fighting tactics border on legallity. The Modern Martial Artist This content is protected
Watched this last night, his ability to use these techniques is what separates him from every other super heavyweight right now. AJ doesn't do it, Joyce doesn't do it, Hrgovic doesn't do it, they all come from the amateur school where these techniques are just stopped immediately and so they don't get taught these techniques. While Fury turned pro early and picked up these skills over time. Before Fury, Wlad used clinch techniques to dominate, though lacked the offensive work inside Fury does, before Wlad we had Lewis who dominated using similar tactics to Fury inside, manhandling opponents.
I love this channel's breakdown videos. Should be mandatory viewing for most of the noobs on this site.
He is both f*cking out-boxer and inside brawler. I don't know how a fighter could beat motivated and well-shaped Fury in the history.
George Foreman (young and old version) also used many of these tactics. He was great at keeping guys off balance, hit and push off, kind of parrying guys around the ring like a like matador.
He fights the gypsy style, which is a tough, rough and gruff oul grinding style of boxing which saps the energy of the best of men.
