i spoke to fury at the peacock gym on thursday, he gave a list of us fighters who turned him down, devin vargas, mike mollo, donnell holmes, jason garvern, he mentioned 2 or 3 others that were tidy fighters that i had heard of, but i can't recall their names, i give him credit for wanting to fight these men, power, would seem to be the only taker, but im sure all will agree he 's got to be better than a bulgarian, who's got 4 spar wins in his own gym.:good
Looks like he indulges in the warrior machismo the sport brings. Could be a good battle if he lives up to the tat on his arm.
i'm sure any fighter could tell people at the gym that nobody wants to fight them and start telling you loads of names. i don't think fury is that great that he is feared in the U.S.
I know a fella whose a journalist in Florida and knows Gavern. I told him last week that Gavern was fighting Fury so he contacted Gavern. Gavern said it was the first he heard of it and a family member is getting married that weekend so he couldnt fight even if he had been contacted. He said hed be happy to fight Fury in the future though. So that one is certainly bull****
well i can,t speak for your joanalist, but you may need to get back in touch, fury and his team said garvern refused 3 offers to fight, any u.s. reporters out there now any thing about that.:yep
The other week Fury said Gavern had signed then pulled out, now he refused 3 offers? This is just Mick Hennesseys BS again. linking good opponents to fights then getting in someone else. Also if you read my post you would see Gavern said he wouldnt be available to fight that weekend anyway.
must be some wedding, though i will concede that taking the promoters word for it can be foolish, they have been nown to tell the press and the fighter less than the absolute.:good
