http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?cat=boxer&human_id=172610 2 of the 3 guys he has lost were undefeated. whether his record is padded or not this is a huger risk for a guy that has 1 pro fight.
Just heard that aswell. Massive props for taking this fight if its true. Makes a change from the (5-45) records you usually see opponents facing in their 2nd pro fight. and with a name like Tyson Fury, theres no way he wont become Undisputed Heavyweight Champion!!!!! :yep Fury KO1 Harrison :smoke
He looks ok though. Yes that last feller was a bit "I don't fancy this **** at all!" but he picked his punches well. Also TF apparently has a great chin, and ABA champ (yes, I know it's a different game etc.) so he has a rough idea at least. My only qualm about him is he carries a fair bit of flab around the waist which he could get rid of. Only short notice his last fight though so hopefully this time he's had a better preparation and he was on honeymoon so i'll let him off . This chap he's fighting can crack though so it's still a risk at heavyweight. Could you imagine Audley fighting this bloke 2nd fight in the pro's...............
Have all the promoters made new years resolutions that theyre gonna throw their cash cows/prospects in at the deep end this year!
Remember he's only 20/21. His body is still changing and it's understandable he looks a bit flabby. In a couple years if he works hard the flab should disappear.
Good opponent and credit to TF for taking the fight. Too early to say how good he is and I'm a little skeptical of the hype at the moment but this fight can only lead to good things!
the thing is you wouldnt complain if hes forst 4-5 fight were agiasnt journeyman. this guy could be a contender for a european title for god sake. hes better than anyone audley fought in 4 years.
It may be a case of a padded record though..... But then again...... I have just Boxrec'd one of the guys that beat him..... and he holds a split decision loss to Michael Sprott in 2005. This is much better than Audley's first four years already.
If his rep is to be believed it's truly refreshing, I'd love to see him calling out Harrison within his first 10 fights, that'd be great.
Record looks impressive so Furys managment know something we dont, he is obviously a little bit ****. But thats ok because he is starting out. Id love for a new Brit Heavy to come through!
Padded record or not, Fury is 1-0! This fella has fought loads of debutants and knocked them out. This is a good opponent for a fighter that's 6-0 never mind 1-0
