    Edit to below

In the time from winning their first world title
Fury November 2015 and Joshua April 2016

Fury is 5-1-1 in world title fights
Joshua 9-0-4 in world title fights

    Unification wins
    Fury 0-0-1
    Joshua 2-0-0

    Reigning champions beaten
    Fury 2
    Joshua 3

    Successful title defences
    Fury 3
    Joshua 7

Including winning the title to date -
I think Fury has had 6 fights against top 10 rated competition in the nearly 9 years (3 against same opponent)
I think Joshua has had 10 fights against top 10 rated competition in the around 8 and a half years

    That may be incorrect

Because it's avenging a loss, not defeating a reigning champion. Technically they're still 1-1 with Ruiz holding the better win.

When Ruiz beat Joshua he became a world champion - IBF, WBA, WBO
When he defended against Joshua he was a defending champion
    That is a fact
Yes they are still 1-1. No disagreement from me.
Lewis - Rahman are 1-1. Not sure what you are looking for?
    Or Lewis - McCall
I guess so with one being inside the distance and the other being on points
I guess you could say similar with Lewis and McCall again, so I'm not sure again what you are looking for

It's a weak argument and you know it. Having an immediate rematch isn't really defeating a reigning champion.

Having beaten nobody, Martin somehow found himself in a bout for a vacant title. One of the worst heavyweight champions in memory and whoever got to him first was going to take that title.

    You asked.

And he didn't beat Glaskov for the belt, Glaskov fell over and hurt his knee.

It resulted from Martin standing on his foot.

Some of these fans are loyal like dogs. They come barking at the mere mention of their favorite fighter. There's no rhyme or reason to what they say, merely posts showing their distress at what they see as an attack.

Just to clarify with yourself and the people who liked your post

Are you saying Ruiz wasn't a defending champion when he defended the WBA, IBF and WBO HW titles against Joshua?

Many fighters have had world title opportunities when not having done as much as some other fighters to get them

Although by injury, Martin entered a vacant world title fight and won

I'm not trying to make anything out to be more than it is but Martin is arguably Ortizs best win and there is a thread circulating at the moment where some people are picking Ortiz to have beaten Joshua had they ever fought
    Go figure

So Ali didn't beat the champion when he defeated Spinks?

He did but the win isn't a good one Leon spinks was a subpar fighter and was only the champ for beating Ali.... It's just not a good look and Ali was shot too
