I don't believe Kingpin would and I don't believe that you or anyone else believes this.

I think if AJ doesn't manage to beat Dubious in the rematch, people will really start to take a look at that resume with a more critical eye.

It's possible AJ's only top wins against fighters not post-prime turn out to be Parker and Whyte!

And even Parker hasn't done much except beat old Wilder and very old Zhang, and he won his world title against Ruiz, who beat nobody to get that shot.
Whyte got smashed by shot-to-bits Povetkin and even Fury one-punched him.

Hopefully AJ can beat Dubious so his fans have at least that to hold on to.

But his legacy isn't in a good place right now, sorry to say. Great guy, role model and all that. But outside of a shock robbery against Usyk, who'll be 38 or whatever, not sure what he can do to right the canoe.

Who has Charles Martin beat for you to rate him so highly?

Higher than Kingpin Johnson isn't that high. I mean, this is a guy who lost to Tor Hammer.

How is a direct example irrelevant?

He was rated #3 for beating Joshua and winning his 3 world titles that he won.
We know that, it wasn't something in question or something you asked me
Not sure why you would think I'm reluctant to answer. I'm not emotionally invested.
It is you who hasn't answered my question and been reluctant to.
    See above
    You ducked answering

    I will try again below

Bakole lost to Hunter but is now in the top 10 for beating Anderson
Are you thinking Bakole shouldn't be for that impressive win because he lost to Hunter some years ago who hasn't achieved as much as Parker?
    Really?

would you not have Bakole entering the top 10 even though he just scored an impressive stoppage win over a top 10 rated opponent and would you not think it worth anything if Anderson took an immediate rematch and won?

    Nobody
You missed the point I was making earlier
I said previously that I'm not claiming it to be an atg victory but said I think it was a decent win based on the manner of victory when you look at Joshua's win over Martin compared to other top 10 HWs Like Anderson, Ortiz, Kownacki etc and that Martin is still arguably Ortizs best win
Also Martin was able to beat another title challenger like Washington
Yet Joshua won in 2 convincing rounds
He didn't have the back and forth battle like some other top 10 HWs

As simple an answer as that

    Even that's doubtful.

Provides a list. Suggests one name. LOL.

    Correct.

Ruiz wasn't some kind of prize scalp in the rematch. He was the same flesh and blood who only the previous fight was a 25/1 longshot not rated particularly high by anybody.

The sole reason Ruiz's stocks had risen to Ring #3 was because Joshua had lost to him and we saw the shape Ruiz turned up in the rematch.

Please don't mention the words ATG and Charles Martin in the same post. At world level he was absolute rubbish.

This excitement from some at the prospect of Joshua becoming a 3 time champion is actually quite hilarious. He won a title initially from the worst championship belt holder in most people's memory, lost it to a 25/1 longshot chosen to showcase him to the US market and then won it back next fight against the same guy, only the guy came in so fat it was hard to be even sure it was him.

Not much to get excited about there.

Direct example? What is? Your little hypothetical?

The only thing that makes your hypothetical relevant in any way is that you posted it in this thread.

    What if this....? LOL!

    What if that....? LOL!

If your aunty had a beard she could be your uncle. LOL!

You are posting like you have had a revelation but none of the above has been disputed

The fact that you are ducking the question and just writing lol shows that you have lost the ability to debate the subject and are just left with your opinion, which of course you are entitled to. But we both know that when someone actively on more than one occasion ducks the same question and just starts posting things like lol, that they have no come back or sensible answer

I was for a while enjoying a sensible debate and was wondering if anyone would sway me either way re Fury and Joshua but as it stands I am still torn as to who I think overall has the better resume

    All the best

Uh,I said top ten, and Kingpin would be the tenth name on Fury's resume. I have said nothing wrong, here.

Fury's resume is better than Joshua's and I agree, it's not a revelation and I'm glad you are no longer disputing it.
