most were not happy to have him on tv. they tuned in to see him get beat. floyd used the same strategy, but with mexicans hatred instead of whites. no money in boxing having whites hate you anymore as few even watch boxing.

Why? His fights were massive stinkers, he ducked two fights WITHOUT being injured and has basically disrespected the sport we love. I don't think we need to shed a tear if Fury doesn't fight for a while. He's young, he should get a proper psychological treatment which can take years.

I suppose your right when you look at it like that, I think from an entertainment perspective, he is good for the game in a strange sort of way but mainly I want him back because he is still the champion, I don't care how many belts AJ had got, until he beats Fury he's a paper champion

I disagree. Fury is a champion who refused to defend his championship TWICE vs. Wlad without citing an injury. If AJ beats Wlad he will have a much stronger claim of being 'the man' in the HW division than an inactive and 350+ lbs Tyson Fury.

Tyson Fury was the only heavyweight in the world who looked like he might actually be able to box and adapt like a proper top-flight boxer is supposed to. He didn't have massive power and wasn't exciting and his style was kinda ugly but he was a boxer with a boxing brain. He had more dimension to his game than old Wladimir and any of the new generation.
It's a shame he's not interested in getting in shape and boxing.
The heavyweight division so devoid of able boxers we need all we can get.

Here is food for thought Tyson Fury has at least failed as many drug tests as Povetkin....

I doubt nandrolone gives extra stamina. Certainly doesn't do anything for extra boxing smarts.
I don't mind if boxers are juiced up. Just want to see some boxing.

There's a reason he failed for Cocaine and Nandrolone. As per this study the Nandrolome+Cocaine combination is actually known to increase brain function in activities that involve aggression.

Something tells me Tyson Fury doesn't read that journal.
But he swears being coked-up makes him better at Call of Duty on X-Box.

You should make a new thread to ask this, not set up the possibility to derail an established one.

It's also a ridiculous question - we keep hearing about how skint he was/is and yet he deliberately cut himself knowing it would cost him a multi-million pound payday against a guy seen as a big lumbering oaf who'd nearly been one shot Ko'd by a blown up cruiserweight. Then, rather than just pull out he went through another training camp only to feign a shoulder injury and get unnecessary surgery so he could dodge said payday again.

    Yeah that sounds about right...

Why does anyone still try and climb Fury is the champion.

You have no claim to any championship if you do not defend that title.
