Well he would still need to get his license back even after any ban has finished, and that isn't a gauranteed or straightforward process.

Then there would be issues with the various governing bodies. Would the WBO or IBF, for example, allow him in their rankings even if he was licensed abroad? If you get a ban from the BADP it bans you from all sports, not sure how they would enforce this or what penalties they can hand out if breached, but interesting to note the BAPD is funded by the UK government.

Can anyone shed any details on what on earth has happened to him personally since he won the title?
What was the "witch hunt" he refers to?
Has something happened which pushed him to self destruct?
Would be interested to know, I hated him when the Haye fight was made, I have come to realise how good is has been for the game and his entertainment value to the sport
