Some people think that chiseled bodies are a sign of health and fitness. More likely than not they are a sign of dehydration and starvation. Furys so called "gut" is nothing more than the typical amount of body fat a man of his size should have. This allows his body to keep from eating itself alive, giving him increased stored energy and strength. We could see the difference in the Wlad fight. Wlad to the naked eye in better shape but in reality fury's physique allowed him greater stamina. Now, you if go too far with it, you become Buster Douglas or Rid**** Bowe. Blubbery and slothish. Fury has found the right medium it seems.
No, not really. Excessive bodyfat requires extra oxygen and has a negative effect on the testosteron/estrogen ratio. If your bodyfat lvls are too low it has a negative effect on performance, but Fury is far from having to little bodyfat.
I think you need to learn some biology. I stated if you get too much body fat then you the rewards will diminish. Having a low amount of body fat is detrimental to your health. these are indisputable facts. You don't become Mr. Universe by being in shape. You become mr universe by starving yourself of nutrients and water so that your body eats itself. You need to actually open a book one day. I wont bet on it. Look at the difference between the stamina of Fury and Wlad by the end of the fight and tell me who did better training. :hi:
Muscle requires oxygen not fat. As long as you have a reasonable amount of fat it will not effect your hormones.
You are right. Fat does not require oxygen per say but if Tyson Fury lost bodyfat and didn't gain muscle in the process he would have less weight to carry around which naturally would increase fitness and stamina simply due to a lower weight. Here some research on bodyfat's effect on cardiovascular endurance: http://www.runnersworld.com/sweat-science/is-vo2max-proportional-to-weight From a another article quoting another study:
Fury's breath control is his biggest reason for not panic and burn energy because of it, not his body shape.
I'm not saying he isn't fit, he obviously is. I'm saying optimal body composition would improve fitness and athletic performance even further. What you're saying is basically; my car's body is made of lead, seeing at is still has one of the best milages on the planet changing it to a carbon fiber body couldn't possibly increase milage. Fury doesn't carry excess fat due necessity, it's because of lack of dedication, he started the camp weighing 280 pounds or something.
