I just remember Sugar say he told Tyson he was wrong about a certain fighter or something like that and Tyson just stared at him and walked off, i wanna hear what caused him too just leave though
Its pretty much common knowledge that Tyson knows his stuff and had access to jim jacobs library. What ****in annoys me is that there are people who go to these Q&A dinners with Tyson and not 1 ****wit would think of asking him if he seen anything of Greb in jacobs library. For a start he would get Tysons attention from the off and a reply that hasnt been uttered robotically 500 times that year. There were even guys here that went to one of these. I emailed a guy that runs a boxing website who had a 1 on 1 with tyson when he was in limerick, gave him the rundown and such, and the ****in ***** STILL didnt ask him. The world is full of ****s:fire:fire
That pisses me off too i would ask him if he saw Greb footage how high he ranks him and have a million other questions but those would be my first two
Apparently Sugar was right....I always read that he was italian, but I don´t know, maybe he was half jewish or something, I don´t know.....
Yeah, googling led me to seeing he was Italian. Funny story. Apparently a lot of fighters took more ethnic sounding names and vice versa. In this googling I found a story about Leonard who was enraged by anti-sematic yelling from the crowd and took it out on his opponent. Apparently his opponent, "Irish" Eddie Finnigin responded to Leonard in Yiddish asking for mercy. Finningin wasn't Irish but was Jewish. Interesting stuff.
Of course everyone should love Dempsey. This guy had it rough. he was a boy fighting grown men on the streets for coins. Tyson loved Dempsey. Idiots used to say Tyson fought like Frazier but he didnt! He fought more like Dempsey! And Dempsey was another guy who peaked early and faded. Short prime but in his prime was a G.
