I feel sorry for the guy. He must have put himself through some seriously hard camps this year, and for what? Nothing.

What's the next step for him (bar finding an opponent that stays healthy)?

Terrible. This has to weigh on your mental make up. He may just crash and burn in next fight.

This isn't just any old pull-out, though.

Tyson has lost MILLIONS this year, two chances to challenge (or be right up there in the rankings) for the belts, and has been too inactive.

Obviously it's far from ideal but the training camps will at least keep him in reasonable shape. Losing money is never good but I'm sure he can afford it and he is young enough to recover from a bad year physically, financially etc. I'm just saying it's not the end of the world, worse things could have happened.

Exactly, and anyway it'll be character building, which he needs.

I hope Fury doesnt lose focus. He has had some bad luck with people pulling out against him, but hopefully something bigger will come along for him and he is focused and ready

He needs to keep busy. Fight three or four times a year against fringe contenders before fighting a final eliminator. Of course that wouldn't satisfy Frank's demands. It's all rather fishy.

Next fight he should just make some kind of insurance bet.
Putting some of his cash on the chance his opponent pulls out, making money without actually having to fight for it :p

You probley wouldn't say that if you had been through two brutal training camps to recieve no payment at the end of them.
