Funny you chose Povetkin who stepped up his class with expectionaly few fights. Probably because of his superb amateur career.

Wladimir Klitchkos first 18 combind record 282-199-19

Vitali Klitchko first 18 combind record 216-154-5

I picked Povetkin because he's being called a bum today on ESB while Tyson is called one of the greatest.

Agreed, in my mind, I feel that Wlad would be lucky, or unlucky depending on how you look at it, to see the second round.

But Tyson isn't great because of his first 18 opponents, now is he?

Chavez Sr isn't great for his early padding, is he?

    It's totally irrelevant.

thanks for the shoutout, but once again your forays into the boxrec world are dashed into the ground, both vitali and wlad's combined record of their first 18 opponents are considerably worse than tyson's first 18. thanks for posting that up bubby, you've inadvertently debunked the common idea that tyson's earlier opponents were some of the worst ever, when record wise, both klitschko's earlier opponents were considerably worse. thanks for the legwork bro:lol::lol::lol:, idiot.

Well after seven years of professional career Povetkin is WBA regular paper champion. He has record of 24(16KO)-0-0

After seven years of professional career Tyson was former undisputed Heavyweight champion of the world, with 10 victories in world title matches. He was youngest champion in history and first man to ever unify all the major belts.
    His record was 41(36KO)-1-0

No wonder people consider Tyson greater at this point and probably forever

there's really no comparison antsu. tyson was a cut above and would absolutely wreck povetkin.

But Povetkin had an extensive amateur career and started pro late, with completing his first 18 fights in 4 years, whereas Tyson did it in 1 year.

Tysons record isn't **** compared to Povetkin. He stepped up much faster (in terms of TIME), it only took Mike little over one year to become champion, it took Povetkin 6 years, even with his background.
