edit: I expected it to be Fury so I made a joke comment about Tyson's KD against Page... Turns out it's about the real Tyson
Cheers for posting. Walked straight in to it. As is well documented Tyson was **** in that training camp.
Luckly that wasn't the case, I heard he dropped alot of pounds quickly before the fight. It's such a great story though, Douglas loses his mother his wife left him and baam! He defeats the invincible Mike Tyson. This content is protected Buster Jab was magnificent that night, he would jab and circle tyson not giving him enough time to set his feet. He also suggested he wouldn't move back in straight lines but made sure he took a step and a half.
:yep I really wanted to see the fallout when Ali went down against "bum" Cooper, and had to cut his glove to recover first time he went overseas. The British forum would have gone berserk
It demonstrates the deterioration of the American Heavyweight. I bet Buster would lay waste to all the US Heavies nowadays.
Ah, thought you meant Fury was dropped in sparring. Was thinking it must have been heavyweight journeyman zack Page, ill get me coat.
This was always one of those stories that was about, in regards to Tysons slipping in training and dedication before the Douglas fight.
Well, the Buster Douglas who beat Mike Tyson that night would be an ATG. However, that Douglas existed for all of about 3 months. 2 months prior to the fight, and maybe a month afterwards. He blew up and was never the same. The Douglas before the Tyson fight was a solid contender type. Inconsistent, but had all the tools. That Douglas would contend in most any era.:think
