Why would this be a surprise? Lewis would have walked into that sparring match without actually having seen Tyson fight, without knowing much if anything about him other than "this dude is fast and can hit". Going up against a young Tyson unaware like that, I'd expect just about anyone of equal experience to get knocked down (or out) in short order. Tyson's attributes combined with the way he needed absolutely zero warmup to have his timing and counters be spot on would be too much for anyone not expecting it.
Mostly just showmanship there. His version of the crap Ali pulled. Did he ever say anything during a staredown? I don't recall him ever doing that. Or ever even caring about a staredown much.
This book, DTGT, is far more secret than I could have ever imagined. It’s almost as if it’s not even a real book -but at the least, we do know that it does exist.
I think it was a bit more than showmanship for Mikey - he seemed intimidated himself and a bit out of control. He went at and bit Lennox. Lol. They had the wall of guards in the ring - one could argue for an extension of showmanship at least in part, but I think they were interpreting Mike to be a very loose cannon. At any rate, even if it was showmanship, he could’ve just as easily mentioned his KO’ing Lennox in sparring - IF it had actually happened. When I wrote “just prior to the fight” I didn’t mean immediately before, just meant not long before the day of the fight - apologies if that was misleading.
Biting someone on the leg is a long way from showmanship and anything associated with Ali tho. He was genuinely out of control at that moment and it wasn't to sell the fight.
That was in 2002, when Tyson was an alcoholic. I'm talking about current Tyson being polite and curteous to his fellow boxers, showing respect. I doubt that even crossed his mind. He was not exactly known for trash talking.
I heard one time Jason Vorhese and Michael Myers met up at a local gym and Michael knocked Jason out of the ring. I totally believe it too
With Halloween fast approaching, I guess many will buy it. But Jason has grown up to be a very big boy over the years. Let’s see if Myers can turn that trick again. Of course the match should be held on a Friday The 13th in Saudi Arabia. Michael’s ring entrance music - “Ki, Ki, Ki, Ma, Ma, Ma...”
As per my previous post, there's no hope for you. I doubt you knew who Patti was before i mentioned him. Now you've seen he's out there saying Tyson whooped Lewis in sparring you're thrusting him forward and salivating all over him. The bad news is Patti is on record multiple saying there was never a knockdown - oops!!! He's also applying context how Tyson was far more advanced at this stage in time. Here is the flipside and what happened when Lewis was at the more advanced stage. Do you like apples, bomber? I've cut out the preambles so you can go straight to the meat, which ends up pretty dead by the end of it all This content is protected
You got it twisted, Pug. Jason's music is "Ki, Ki, Ki, Ma, Ma, Ma", which is short for "Kill her mommy, kill her!" Michael's theme, famously constructed by John Carpenter, is the jarring 4/5 time on the piano. Apologies. It's Halloween...everyone's entitled to one good scare!!
Excellent pick up Sang. I did mean to type Jason, which I was leading up to. Had a brain fart. Lol. Kill, Kill, Kill, Mom, Mom, Mom. Classic! Myer's music is creepy also.
Ali never bit anyone — Mike chomped Lewis’ leg, didn’t he? He seems to have one of those oral fixation things.
