Who is the leader of this pack???? I’m going with Liston!!!!
What if Gary glitters in there , singing "Do you wanna be in my gang, my gang ''??
Considering they're all boxers and if they rumble it's gonna be boxing I'd pick Tyson. His head movement, strength and speed advantages give him the edge here. Lyle and Liston are MUCH slower and more reliant on parrying/catching. But there is no footage of any man fighting bare knuckle or "On the street" but all three are familiar with it.
My money is on Charles Sonny Liston, he probably owned several yards through his youth, he was not adopted by anyone to save him from himself. Sonny used to break bones for his employers like Frankie Carbo and Blinky Palermo while collecting debts for them. He had a knack for putting policemen upside down in neighborhood alley's, like he did in 1957. He was not a measly purse snatcher or one to fight a skinny fighter on the street corner, he took part in heavy duty crimes thus building his reputation, but Mike Tyson and Ron Lyle were sound backups in Rumble situations. I believe a gang consisting of those three hellions would be unbeatable.
I think Tyson would have seen Liston as the ultimate father figure and followed him off a cliff.
Inspired by @Fergy 's funny Gary Glitter reference.
All in prison at the same time?
I think they'd form a boy band: The Back Street, New Hard Knock Kids On The Block (C-Block).
Sonny on vocals (because Sonny said so). Ronnie on tambourine (because Sonny said so). Mikey on Kazoo (because Sonny said so). The male equivalent to The Supremes.
My guess is Tyson will be the one picking up the soap...
Stop ! In the Name Of Love, Before I Break Your Jaw. Lol.
It has to be Dial, Don't You Wish Everybody Else Did. The old Dial soap commercial of the 1960's. Lol.
Tyson gets spit roasted.
Agreed, Tyson probably never owned any yards in the Penal System, street fighting is not the Marquis Of Queensbury rules, it has to do with kicking, gouging out someone's eyes, bashing in their skull. The only thing that Tyson ever did remotely near street fighting was to bite an ear. Cus D Amato protected him, so did Kevin Rooney, no one protected Liston or Lyle.
At the time they served their respective sentences, Tyson would have been the most dangerous of the three.
He was a former champion at the time.
Wasn't Sonny Liston a former champion also? Liston beat Floyd Patterson for the title on Sept 26 1962.
