The interviewer could have/should have worded the question better.

We see his point, but as a TV interviewer im sure part of their job description advises them on how to speak to a guest? convicted ****** or not.

    role of villain?

Tyson used to talk about wanting to kill people in the ring!

I think people forget how much of a c**t Tyson was in his prime.
Take away the **** conviction, the guy bit peoples ears, tried to break guys arms(Botha) and even bit guys on the chest(Mcbride), and carried on hitting guys after the fight was over (Savarese)

The guy was simply an awful person.

He did those things after prison.

Prior to prison, he was a pretty clean fighter, aside from the Biggs fight (who he hated)

I love how these Tyson threads always turn into big love fests for Mike. A nice big group hug of the 'Oh let's all try to understand poor old Iron Mike' and 'oh he has all these inner demons he is still fighting'.

Tyson deserves the same objective treatment as others. You are defined by the things you do in life. Given his track record of alcohol and drug abuse, ****, aggravated assault it's easy to say he's a piece of ****. Why waste time trying to 'understand' Tyson? He's human scum. Walk along.

Why doesn't Tyson push strongly for a retrial if there is strong evidence of wrongful conviction?

Exactly. He pretty much went right in with "What do you think the public would think about a ******...etc". He got what he deserved for his ignorance.

Exactly. Tyson always was Tyson and didn't have to make up a fake persona to get people to watch him. Besides being a borderline psychotic, Tyson is also a very philosophical person and a deep thinker. I find him a much more interesting character than Mayweather, who seems somewhat shallow, but that's just me.

The killing people in the ring part was nothing but trash talking to further sell his fights. Sure it wasn't classy but it's not meant to be. He was always perceived as a "monster" by the media so he adopted the role and played it well enough to sell out events.

Every single human being walking this earth has a bright and dark side. Tyson is no different than people in general. His only problem was that the media decided to overshadow his good side with the bad and Tyson didn't care to fight that.

Looking back, i dont think the interviewer was all that 'innocent'. He was wise enough to word it better, but he on purposely blurted out convicted ******, and i guess for Tyson, it hit hard.

But am i the only person to be relieved to see flashes of the 'old' Tyson?

The F*** you at the end was hilarious.
