She also got $1,000,000.00 from a civil suit she filed against Mike.

The case was settled for one million dollars. For some people it's worth it to settle nuisance lawsuits for that amount of money, see Pac v Mayweather.

I have to say though, the interviewer really maintained his composure well.

I have all the time in the world for the early Mike Tyson & the somewhat "reformed" Mike Tyson.

However, that fact of the matter is, he raped a young woman. If he doesn't like talking about it or is uncomfortable about the matter, he shouldn't have done it. Its as simple as that.

He has no right to get angry about it. Sure, be annoyed that people focus on the negatives, that is what people do to famous people. He is a celebrity, he needs to be expecting to have the topic brought up. Consider how long it has been, you would think he has a way of avoiding the topic? other than firing up and allowing people to have reason to hate on the man. (other than his past).

But he usually has no problem talking about the subject. That's the point. The interviewer showed a lack of questioning skills here. The way he brought up the point left the question nowhere to go. A more skilled interviewer would have brought up the matter in a more open way to allow Tyson to express himself.

Being convicted of something does not mean you actually did it.

We all know how deeply flawed the American Criminal Justice System.

Hell, it even varies hugely from state to state.

Had that trial happened today, it would have been thrown out of court.

Remember that Cameroon woman who accused Tyson of raping her in 2005 while he was in Europe? Or the woman in 2002 around the Lewis fight?

Where have all these women gone? If they were honest we would have heard from them again. Same goes for Desiree Washington. Why is she still hiding? What from? Why didnt she agree to another trial?

I don't know. The guy didn't really seem to be that provoking or ill-intended.

classic case of people thinking that tyson is a changed person, ye he appears that way when everything is rosy and he`s getting his own way, but when he`s not getting his arse licked and he is back in the real world he shows what he really is, just a nasty piece of work.

Tyson anger is not because he feels he is innocent, he knows he raped Washington. He just doesn't like people bringing up his dark past. Here is an example where an interviewer brings up Mike's drug addiction and he almost loses his **** as well.

Gotta love Mike for keeping it real. Nothing fake about the guy, and how many of us can say that? Plus, the guy was being a complete and utter arse. "You come across like a nice guy but you're nothing but a piece of @#$%" Telling it like it is.

I posted this on another thread today...regarding the alleged ****:

Here's what I think probably happened: She went to his hotel room. I would venture to guess that in the thousand previous times a woman went to his room he ended up having consensual sxe (believe it or not they'll censor the correct spelling) with her, which means the moment she stepped in his room he assumed they were going to have sxe.

He made his "move," she said no, but he probably thought she was just showing resistance for imagery, again I think he assumed she had impliedly consented the moment she stepped in his room. He continued and she continued to say no. I think Tyson probably had no "intent to ****" and probably never believed he was committing a ****. However, so long as she did not give consent, and so long as she was unable to physically prevent penetration, technically it's ****.

It can be a very fine line, and I think without having a video tape of the encounter there is no way to know. It's simply his word against hers...
