everyone talks about, if only tyson-ali were in the same era. i personally, think, ali-louis would be a more intriguing fight. but due ali's speed, and size, i think he would be too much for louis. if you can only choose one of these fights which won would you want to see, and your prediction.

a prime tyson vs a prime ali (before his ban, in the words of his opponents in the vid, before the ban nobody could touch ali, you would miss and he would come unleashing shots. after the ban ali was hittable.)

but i firmly believe a prime tyson would have knocked out ali, nobody could stand up to the tyson barrage

Louis would just be a victim for either guy. Tyson-Ali is more interesting, and I would take 68 Ali over any version of Tyson.

are you guys saying the ali that fought liston againt the tyson that fought spinks?
i'm still not sold on tyson beating ali. tyson was a bully that beat his opponents at weigh ins. i think ali would have stood up to tyson, and if anything his mind games would have an affect on tyson. tyson being a bully, would not know how to react to ali's mind games. ali has stood up to tyson type characters like liston and foreman anyways. on a recent eppisode on oprah, tyson was asked if he could beat ali, and he said, cus, told me he was the greatest ever, and he agrees with what cus said, and he would have doubts.

So what about all the average fighters like Tillis who went the distance with prime Tyson? They could withstand the Tyson barrage but Ali couldn't?? With Ali's speed, fantastic chin and amazing recuperative powers, he's not getting stopped by anyone.

I'd pick Ali-Louis. It probably wouldn't be as entertaining as Tyson-Louis, or several other mythical match-ups but it would be a chance to see the two greatest Heavyweights ever fight each other. What could be better?

I'd take Ali to win a 15-round decision.

you are spot on. i think ali-louis is the biggest fight ever in mythical matchups. depending who you ask the greatest hw of all time is either ali, louis with the other one being a close 2nd. although i think when tyson was fighting tillis, he was still in the learning stages. his prime was around trevor berbick.

I'd like to watch all those guys fight a round robin. They would all be better fights than what we are watching these days!

Tyson - Louis, I'd predict Tyson because he could hit Louis with combos.

Tyson - Ali, could go either way.

Ali winning: I could see Ali frustrating Tyson, psyching him out and being evasive. All things that could deflate Tyson's confidence, and give us a Tyson/Lewis type result....but in earlier rounds.

Tyson winning: I think Ali could underestimate Tyson's agility, giving Tyson an opening, and it could be lights out after a ferocious 5 hit combo.

Ali - Louis: I see Ali dancing circles around him.

Yeah, around the time Tyson fought Berbick and Spinks he did look almost unstoppable. As good as he was then though, I just don't see him beating Ali. I think Ali's speed, jab and toughness carry him to a points win - even though Tyson could take him deep, I think the prospect of him winning by ko is very slim.
