The guy will always have a punchers chance (DW is one the very rare fighter's for whom that saying is not a cliché!) but I wouldn't bet on him beating any of the top 10-15. He's a mediocre boxer with a ridiculously elite punch. An anomaly really. However, his one trick could only ever go so far and he's been beaten comprehensively now three times by the only high level proven pro boxer he's faced.

The more interesting thing now will be to see Fury in with some serious competition, so we can finally gauge his level. Wilder was a myth, and as such represents very little as a barometer. Gagging to see Fury in with a proper opponent finally. The Whyte mandatory could be interesting.

This was a ppv worth paying for!!!

Wilder better as expected, Fury able to adjust better as expected... Both landed hard and clean....
Wilder comes up short on durability. Short on defense.

Wilder delivered on heart and keeping his power and staying dangerous come hell or high water....

Fury demonstrated ATG skills and the ability to dig as deep as required.

    Classic fight. High drama.

As Larry Merchant said (and so did I before the fight to the room full of people):
"This is the theater of the unexpected"

Why am I hearing Dan Rafael was carried out the arena on a stretcher?

    Is that true?

You wouldn’t expect him to beat any of the top 10 to 15? So you’re telling me you believe there are 15 guys who you favor to beat Wilder? I don’t believe you, seriously, you can type it 1000 times and I just literally do not believe you believe that.

    Deontay ?

    That Wilder ?

    Never going to happen.

But on a serious note, I now respect him a helluva lot more than I did a week ago.

He still can't box, but he showed a lot of balls, spine, heart and tenacity last night.

OK, I think that Rafael Story may be untrue, I was sent it my text, now I'm getting told it may be fake.

So apologies if anybody was concerned or was looking for it.. I don't know what's going on any longer.

    Its a farcical comment.

After that performance. I would only rate a few fighters with a good chance of beating Wilder. Probably only Usyk and Hrgovic would be big favourites.

No way does shot shy and frightened AJ stand a chance against Wilder

I'm sorry to concern you, it's starting to look like it was a fake report.

Great fight - the commentary was so bad though - I had some idiot guy who dksab and some clueless woman named Christina on my English feed, so I watched it in Russian instead which was better

It's now 1pm and I'm going back to bed to rewatch it

Technically not the best fight I've ever seen but was a roller coaster. Wilder is dangerous till the end with the right and you can never really trust Fury won't start sticking his chin out show boating. Hope that's the end of that entertaining but I think we can all agree boxing needs to move forward now

Agree Whyte has been on the slide for a while. Joe Joyce would take that big right back him up and grind him down granite chop's
