Fury is a lot bigger than Wilder. Wilder can't trade punches with Fury anymore. In the last fight, whenever Fury walked straight to Wilder the latter could not bang with the former. Wilder was bashed around the ring.

Mike Ortega....do you know anything about that ref?

"Veteran referee Mike Ortega has been named by the Nevada State Athletic Commission as the third man in the ring for the third fight between England’s Fury"

It would seem Fury has his number at this point, but I do worry about his preparation. I watched Fury-Wilder 2 last night and it was pretty sloppy, despite Fury's overall dominance. This upwards trend in weight helps his strength, but I think he could manhandle Wilder at 245, if he wanted to. He missed a lot of shots because he was a tick too slow. Anyways, for the sake of the division I hope he puts Wilder away so we can move on.

He was faster and did well the first fight unfortunately he was going with Spin class bens run away and pitter patter ****.....if he actually tried to hit wilder harder earlier in the fight like he did when he got off the canvas the wilder knockdown probably wouldnt have happened cse wilder would have been tired and busted up. IN fact it was roach after the fight who basically said he wanted tyson to go after him and hit him and disagreed with spin class ben.

I do think the second fight looked a little slow and herky jerky but i noticed something after watchign it a thousand times which is furys left hand is basically touching wilder the entire fight. If he threw a hard left hook he could rock wilder to me his left hand is great but his right hand needs more crisp power.

So.... what if Wilder does somehow pull it off? Do we get Fury-Wilder IV?

horrifyingly yes. Court cases etc will make sure we see IV around the same time as Usyk-AJ2.

    Agreed, agreed.
Fury seems to have been off his meds for quite a stretch.
I'm not sure Fury himself had covid. I remember initial reports saying someone in his camp.
There's just something not right at all about Fury right now.
Wilder looks super focused. I think this fight is all he's thought about since going to the hospital after the last fight.

300lb looks better on him that it did Ruiz Jnr at least. I still think he'll smash Wilder up. Do not take Wilder and Scott too seriously, Abbott and Costello style jokers.

Looks to me like a man heading to the gallows, but trying to convince himself he can somehow escape his fate. I think you're right that he's thought about nothing else since February 23 of last year, though.

It's not out of the question that Fury endures a hairy moment or two if he does start out lackadaisical or overconfident, though a jolt from Wilder much more likely wakes him up than knocks him out. My expectation, however, is that Tyson thoroughly whoops Wilder's ass without significant alarm. Can't see past Fury putting a period on this rivalry inside the distance, but also can't discount the possibility of some action on the part of Wilder or his team preventing the bout from reaching a natural conclusion (maybe we get a DQ before a T/KO can be achieved). This has become a nutty fight, let's face it.

Fury beat Wilder after just detoxing from drugs and depression and slaughtered him when he was in top shape. It is possible that Wilder knocks him down again but in the first match Fury got up twice, drawing a match that he won heavily. The worst Fury is always better than Wilder imo.

"You think he ain’t gonna try to cheat this time? Oh they’re thinking, they’re coming up with a masterplan."

Wilder has been preparing excuses for himself since the last few weeks leading up to the cancelled July date, which isn't indicative of a truly confident or winning mindset. He was spooked going into the first rematch, and he's spooked going into this one. Not too deep down, he knows what he's up against.
