IMO without the result being agreed (I hope) there will be ground rules for Fury. One of them will be no first-round KO.

    Announce Fury-Ngannou

People hate it, many boxing fans (as well as many MMA) want to see Fury get KO'd

They start talking themselves into believing that it could easily happen

    Big numbers, huge media attention

The problem though is Ngannou fights in MMA where gloves offer no protection, and the vast majority of fighters have no idea how to move or position and defend themselves like a boxer does, as its such a different discipline.

If Fury actually bothers to train for this fight (and thats debatable), it will be a KO for him unless he decides to let a very gassed Ngannou last until the end.

Meanwhile Wilder isn't fighting. AJ isn't fighting. Usyk will probably fake an injury and pull out of the Dubious fight or vice versa....everyone tunes in to see Fury have a toy with an MMA fighter. Then the Saudi's pull out the cash before everyone loses their minds and people finally see the bigger picture.

In what world is Ngannou going to have any success in this fight.

Only chance I see is if Fury turns up half arsed and gets clipped. I suppose it's possible.

This fight is a disgrace. A novice goi g against an elite pro. Fury has no shame and should be embarrassed to show his face after this farce.

If Fury loses this fight, will Ngannou be the lineal champion?

Fury is only the WBC titlist now. He stopped being Ring Mag lineal champ roughly a year ago.

I’m not sure the Ring belt is the only measure of being lineal. He’s still recognised as champion by CBZ and LinealBoxingChampion.com, and he was described as the lineal champion when he fought Chisora, which was after he was stripped by the Ring.

UM...dude, I don't owe you personally a satisfactorily thorough explanation of how or why I know this is official. You either take my word or you don't; I'm not under any obligation to perform labor on demand for you.

There was uncertainty and double speak a little under a month ago when this was first announced, with neither Arum nor Warren nor anybody else involved committing to it being an exhibition or real fight. Then a week or so later, in mid-July, it was explained that it would be a sanctioned bout, ten rounds of three minutes apiece, non-title, counting on Fury's record and serving as Ngannou's professional boxing debut. This was literally all over everywhere, reported in several media outlets covering boxing & MMA. If you missed it, that's your problem. I'm not spending more than second or two's effort digging because you "want proof". There was a tweet in particular detailing it just the other day but when I went to search for it replying to your first post, that one I embedded just happened to be the first that popped up. Again, I don't owe you any more beyond that. I don't care if you find that insufficient. If I'm wrong, then I'll be wrong - but I'm not, so I won't. How about you just sit tight and we'll see? ;)

And yet Stipe who's chin is far from the greatest was able to eat Ngannous punches for 5 rounds in that fight. Ngannous mostly clipped washed up fighters and bums. The actually solid and not hilariously fragile or old opponents he faced off with took him the distance.

The proverbial "puncher's chance". Odds are with Fury for a reason but look how many times Wilder sent him to the canvas. Wilder is ahead of Francis boxing wise but anything can happen when a powerful 270 lbs man is swinging a fist at you wildly.

I think it'd be a huge victory for Francis if he could get Fury to hit the canvas at any time, regardless if he wins the fight or not.

Boxing is a discipline that takes years to master but it's still just a fight at the end of the day. I've seen newbies rushing decent boxers and landing some digs. If Francis connects, it would be interesting to see what happens. That's probably less than a 1percent chance tho lol

They got oil in Saudi Arabia that's less crude than Ngannou. Fury is just levels above. Jab, feints, footwork. Ngannou is just about clubbing you to smithereens.

Fury will jab move early, then turn it up later on, stopping him on exhaustion. I hope Ngannou lands something and puts the big dosser in his place, unlikely though.

Also, if there was proper drug testing, this fight might get derailed like the AJ fight. It won't be though, anything goes.
