The next boxer he faces will dismantle him with ease. Fury took him lightly, underestimated him.

A lot of people are overrating him just cause of this fight.

Styles make fights. Francis fought like that when fought Derek Lewis in mma. But when he fought Cryl Gane he had more striking stats.

My impression of Francis is that he knew he was in for a long night with Fury. He was matching Furies pace and didn't want to fall for his tricks. Francis fight iq is good for this reason, he doesn't chase the knockout.

I get that, Francis fought smart.

He paced himself for a 10 round fight, but still 23 punches per round is way below the 35-40 HW average for 12 rounds.
Fury's pace was awful , in fact he threw even less than Francis, its not a high bar to compare to.

Usyk never goes for the KO either and averages 50 punches... I'm just saying Ngannou's pace is his biggest weakness and I don't think it will change much because of his huge size.

I thought the Gane fight was a wrestle fest? UFC stats say he through 104 strikes over 25 mins

That's the most optimal he can be with his built.

He can make up for 3 punches with one big heavy one. Why throw high volume and risk a chance of getting caught?

Every fighter has pros and cons.

    Francis has Heart+Dicipline+power+chin+humbleness

There are plenty of fighters like Wilder and AJ who would benefit if they had his mindset. If Ngannou fought Zhang, he's not going to take him lightly or brag about how he is better because he beat Fury ( that's what i would do cause i'm petty.) Francis would bow his head in respect to Zhang and be ready for everything he throws at him. That is why Francis is here to stay. Wilder's coach also thinks he can beat plenty of top contenders. Floyd even acknowledge Francis could be successful prior to the fight.

I’m pretty sure that Wilder KO’s Francis out of the ring, Wilder would come very prepared to show he can finish what Fury couldn’t.

But, I also thought that Fury would come prepared to make an example of Francis…

Eddie Hearn is hoping that next boxer is AJ. Do you think present AJ will dismantle Ngannou? Remember that this time last week people would have laughed at the idea of AJ beating Fury.

i think AJ dismantles him within 4 rounds, AJ is going to take it serious, fury went in there thinking it would be a walkover, he didn’t know what to expect. AJ and other boxers will have the advantage of knowing what to expect now.

Don't want to be pedantic, but you have slightly contradicted yourself, in the first quote you said Francis wasn't chasing a knockout (which I agree with) but in the second quote you said why throw 3 if you can throw 1 big one. I think we saw probably his best pace that he can do vs Fury.

But I pretty much agree with everything you have said. Ngannou was blessed with a great mindset aswell as talents and people should look and learn from his behavior.
Despite basically being born literally at the bottom, he made it to the top. And even made Dana look like a complete fool, all the while being classy and humble, much better than the complete crap we hear from Wilder and Fury while they duck everyone.

Ngannou's future is bright, but I feel in boxing the Fury fight will be his best moment. I still wanna see him box others and get paid life changing money for it, he deserves it, but I wouldn't be betting on him against the top dogs.

Francis will always be low volume, but that Fury fight wasn't his ceiling. His activity in the first 3 rounds in Gane fight was closer to his full pace. Its more reactionary. If he fights a high volume boxer he is going to have a higher pace but no way will he match them if they are throwing rapid combinations. He will just throw more single hits but more frequent if that makes sense.

AJ would almost literally have to turn into his 2019 self to get it done in that few rounds, otherwise at best it goes to decision. Yes, other boxers now expect that even something like a glancing blow from Francis was enough to send a near 280 lbs man to the canvas.

I think we'll see the same gun shy AJ from the last few years, I do hope I'm wrong though. AJ does match up well with Ngannou from a physical stand-point, better than Wilder who despite his huge power is near 50 lbs lighter than Ngannou.

I just think boxing skill he will be too much for Ngannou. Ngannou looked like he was open to the one two all night but fury couldn’t time him, his timing was all off, everything about fury was off, his worst performance of his career.

I’d bet all my money on AJ
