He said he did. He also one time got angry when he was asked about it.

The war has nothing to do with Fury. I'm sure he's sorry for the plight of civilians as we all are but it's not his responsibility to supply humanitarian aid from his purse.

It's gamesmanship from Usyk. Either accept the 70/30 or refuse it.

Nobody said it was his responsibility. If he wants 70% those are Usyk's terms. Pretty simple. Fury can take it or leave it as he sees fit. If his unwillingness to donate a million quid outweighs how much wants 70-30 (considering his share of the purse will dwarf that million quid) it shows that he wasn't that serious about making the fight.

    No. Why?

Usyk is free to negotiate in any manner he determines. Fury is entitled to respond in any way he wishes. He can say "no" he can say "here is a mllion bucks do what you like with it" or he can say "what a great idea, would love to."

Honestly, the attitude of some on this forum to all this is so weird.

Everyone is celebrating Usyk accepting the offer but in reality he has not and placed a counter offer (as you pointed out). Correct.

What do you think is a higher number - a million quid or 70% of the purse?

Do you believe those numbers will even be close?

I don't think it is correct at all. In fact, I think that the strange acceptance by this forum of the "negotiation" happening on Instagram is hilarious and ridiculous.

Because it's these two, it's not absolutely impossible that that is what occurred, but to believe that the huge swathes fo accountants, managers and promoters hanging about behind the scenes didn't have it sorted out a bit before that Instagram exchange...do you really believe that? That his fight got sorted out in a short exchange of Instagram messages?

I came in here to see what people were thinking about the fight, and all i see is guys arguing about purses. Clearly I'm lost with this generation. I thought it was about the fight and doing anything to get it made as a fan of the sport, not a fan of your favorite fighter. Boxing doesn't have leagues, therefore it's to us to *****, moan, whine, and complain when the big fights don't happen.
They are entertainers at the world level making millions a night. Just ****ing entertain us

Fury has yet to publicly address Usyk's counter-proposal of donating a million toward Ukrainian relief efforts in exchange for getting a 70-30 cut of the kitty.

He did put forth, however, that he wants no rematch clause.

Despite the ongoing push & pull, Frank W. and sport insiders remain optimistic that April 29th at Wembley is still ultimately happening.

The problem that Usyk will face is that he has never been in the ring with a real fighting man.
