Superb top level media training in evidence there, alot of his answers are rehearsed. His management have done an incredible job taking a convicted ****** and turning him into almost a cuddly character that gets cameos in films. the transformation has been amazing, a big part of the credit has to go to him for listening to what he has been told.

all those guys had better fights with other fighters. That was not Mayweather doing it. He is not an exciting fighter and very self centered. Hearns always said he wanted to entertain the people who paid good money for their seats.

This isn't true at all from my experience to be honest. I barely come across anyone who knows anything about UFC or MMA as a whole other than the odd "tapout" hoodie wearing, odd looking fellow. I do come across boxing fans (pretty rarely as well though) as much, especially regarding Froch, Haye, Khan etc.

Terrible article by the way, all it was is that Tyson thought Mayweather-Gurrero was boring, not that boxing is boring like the article wants you to think. Look at all the wars, good fights that boxing has had so far this year. That article is ****.

Everyone has an opinion. If its about how he ****ed up his career, THEN i'll consider his. Until then, he can go back to making horrible cameos on Law & Order. God that **** was terrible.

I can't wait until Tyson FURY gets KTFO.

    - Then we can stop constantly wondering, when reading such thread titles, "which Tyson?"

(it should be too much longer.)

    ------------------

Anyway, that whole article was just an ad for the UFC. Not much else to say.

Kind of like how that ***** that set him up then took a huge payday on the talk-show circuit, listened to what her attorney told her to say on the stand, turning a morally-devoid gold digger into an "innocent victim."

Yeah, I'm with you on that one. :good

i dont see why some people find it hard to accept that some of floyds fights are really boring to a large portion of the fanbase. dont take it so damn personal, it aint about you.

No kidding. Rigo fought smart because Donaire can turn anyone's lights out at the weight. He relaxed for a second, and got floored. That was fighting the right fight against a dangerous opponent.

Floyd could've fixed himself a bagel or two while letting Guerrero tee off and RG still wouldn't ice him.

Not Mayweathers doing? :rofl Seriously wow. Mayweather one of the most gifted boxers of all time was forced into a brawl with guys like Corley and Ndou?

I dont. Saying all of his fights are boring is laughable however. Corley, Augustus, Ndou, Chavez, Cotto, Castillo 1. High action fights where Floyd traded shot for shot.

Haters are the type that says all his fights are boring.

I was listening to the interview Mike gave on Howard Stern, and he said the guy who prosecuted him checked out his show. Call me crazy, but if I thought someone I prosecuted was really guilty of ****, I wouldn't be paying good money to see their one man act.

It's more than that. This is a pro job involving a full time team of people with the sole objective to maximize revenue while at the same time keeping the client out of prison/trouble.

The problem with athletes is they tend to be alpha characters who don't listen to people who can't do what they do. This is where so many come unstuck. Mike had the brains to sit down and listen to these people. The training, through repetition, means that when they try and wind him up he responds with the correct line rather than exploding.

David Beckham is an example of someone who's personality we see was created behind closed doors.
