Judge for yourself. He said I don't know, and then says athletes are bigger and better these days.

He was being respectful, part of the reason I like him so much. Most other champions would say of course they could beat them.

In reality I think Tyson is the only one who could beat a Klitschko.

i hate when people get slated for this kind of thing, hes being respectful because theres no point in saying he would win its total fantasy, he knows there both excellent fighters and they would be close oddswise, there both great foghters from different eras.

One can be respectful and disagree. I think he's being honest.

Your ignorance is unbelievable. This is the second time you made this thread this week.

He also said they're on muscle juice . Was he being honest about that?

Tyson had the choice to say a) 'I would have beaten them'

and then people would be on here claiming Tyson was an ******* for disrespecting the Klitsckos

or b) he could say something respectful. Which is what he did.

If he was asked this in 85-91, we would have gotten a more honest Tyson response.

There are many boards here, and most posters don't post on all of them.

    BS.

He could have said they are good champions, then explained why he thinks he would have won.:deal Some Tyson fans are the worst, and what he said surely won be resonate well with them.

If Tyson thinks athletes improve with each generation ( Most agree with this theory) he is in fact hinting they are better.

In 1988 Bruno badly rocked Tyson, and if he had more confidence could have finished him. This was pre-Douglas. The Klitschkos are better than Bruno or Douglas.

You can be damn sure a prime Tyson pulverises both Klits without much trouble

Firstly Nowhere does he say they would beat him. I can easily find you an interview where Tyson says no one would have beat him at his best. Tyson was asked about the current champs and obviously had yo be careful how he worded it.

Yes Bruno rocked Tyson, but what happened in the end? Tyson wore him down and took him out.

you claim Klits are better than Bruno? Well guess what between them Bruno and Vitali have one mutual opponent, Lennox Lewis.

Not only did Bruno perform better, he fought a much better version of Lewis too. And i believe his ko % is just as good as Vitalis.

The Klitsckos are not better than Douglas, more determined and disciplined yes, skillwise better? No.

    I agree with you 100%

Mike is nearly 50 years old, and he fell out of love with the game a long time ago.

But if the K's had fought in the 80's, and this question had been put to Mike in say 1988, when he was in 'fight mode', I'd have bet my life that his response would have been very different.
