Both young contenders shooting there way to the title. Tyson that blew away marvis frazier in one round, one of his most impressive fights at that time vs Lewis that took on the undefeated Gary mason, stopping the popular Brit in a shock result.. Both young, destined to meet one day but who takes it at this stage of there timeline?

I think at that stage I might be apt favoring Tyson.. Mike was beginning to come into his own. Lewis though spectacular against Mason, still had a bit of work to do.

Strange how different fighters peak and mature at different ages , and mostly talking bout heavy s. And wonder if it also a style s thing. Dempsey, marciano, smoking and tyson all seemed well past there best years at a quiet youngish age. Where as holmes and Lewis along with wlad still fighting good in to there almost forty s

Tyson. Lewis at that time had too many flaws, bad defense was his main flaw in the Mason fight

Tyson has stated that he knew he could never beat Lewis and never really wanted to fight him. So Lewis still beats Tyson at any stage of his career.

Marciano never had a prime. He just fought mob controlled fighters and has beens. Still losing to Ted Lowry a nobody and Roland LaStarza. Tyson never really had a prime. He fought hand picked opponents who were there to lose, guys who fell for that media hype and were beat before the fight started. When he faced guys who didn't fear the type he lost. He was still in his physical prime up into the Holyfield fight. Frazier on the other hand took so many punches through the years that I would say he was done after the first Foreman fight.

Tyson. He was faster could punch harder and Lewis' chin was too fragile.( I can imagine a first round ko also
considering a total shot Tyson won the first round against the 100% prime Lewis .) And who was the slow guy with mediocre skill who destroyed a better version Lewis in the second round ? He must be a god...

Marvis Frazier is so legendary but he never fought Foreman or...
