Fury looked like he was trying things in there and was more intent on getting rounds in. I'd rather he had a few more tune ups but if he feels he's ready then lets get it on.
Everybody knows Fury's not ready including himself, he just wants a big payday and then disappear, that's all.
You could be right mate and that is what I thought before tonight - the difference being that I thought his PPV payday would be against Bellew. Now after tonight's performance and the fact he is fighting Wilder, he would appear to be taking his boxing serious again.
If this version of fury beats Wilder....wilder is a 100 percent fraud. I think he is to an extent anyway. He's got better as he's went along...actually think his management team have been spot on with how they,ve brought him along amongst all the critiscm. But its the same style of opponents he,s fighting. The same tactics involved. He's basic. Stays out of range let's shorter reach fighters come in and cracks them with a very good right hand. His problems will come when he fights a guy that doesn't need to come into him. Fury fits that description. But this is a terrible version of fury. Wilder should be looking to go in and take him out early. Fury has nothing to keep wilder off with now. Even the feights nowadays are just for show. They won't be effective against wilder...who has no reason to fear them now. At least against klitchko he had a punch. His accuracy's also gone. You can't afford to be like that against a big puncher. I think fury's genuinely mad if he takes this fight...he might actually have a chance if his comebacks managed properly. Needs constant fights against guys exactly like pianata atm. Wouldn't even stick him in with the level above for another two or three fights.
I thought he looked awful in there at times. No fluidity in his work and his punches had no zip. He was forcing them out and they were slow. Clearly took the middle rounds off and got cought a couple of times but pineta was fooked after round 3. Was able to land the odd left hook and nowt else Wilder at least comes to fight despite his flaws. Last 2 rounds fury turned it on a bit and looked better. He needs another fight at least before wilder. I've always thought fury beats wilder now I'm not so sure.
He looked poor Pianeta is bum level at this stage and even he had his successes. But the warren mongs want to belive so let em
I shouldn’t be surprised about people being negative about Fury’s performance. He was finished apparently, never to set foot in the ring again. Too far gone. He’ll never shift that weight. I’ll believe it (him getting back in the ring) when I see it....he proved so many people wrong. He was nearly 28 stone and suicidal. He’s lost 9 stone, got 2 tune up fights out the way whilst in the mean time trimming a bit more weight off and getting sharper. Now he’s fighting Wilder in November in Vegas....he’s already won. That’s an incredible achievement already. Wilder has never fought anyone on Fury’s level. Having a big right hand is not enough, you have to land it and Fury is elusive and has enough power to make his opponent think twice about coming in recklessly. I’m chuffed that he’s back. He’s an exciting, charismatic character and the most skilful heavyweight on the planet.
You think Wilder’s gonna destroy him, really...you hadn’t mentioned it? You should start a thread about it.
