Tyson by TKO, Bowe had no defense and not much ring IQ. Instead of being smart and using his jab and fighting outside and using tactics to frustrate Tyson, he would stand and trade with Tyson and get hurt

If Bowe were to eat the types of punches he ate from Holyfield and Golota against a true big punching heavyweight he wouldn't last 6 rounds. He had a good chin but was way too defensively deficient, he would stand and trade with Tyson and get stopped

tyson clear points or late stoppage. bowe size and athletecism gives hm a lot of problems, but he can't beat a prime tyson, tyson too relenetless and bowe could always be hit.

well when u think of the problems Frank Bruno gave tyson. i think bowe is better then any one tysons fought in the 80s

tyson was fed bums. bus drivers and taxi cab drivers.

it reminds me of cotto's last fight. he looked awesome.

people come on who has tyson fought

the reason bowe fought evander like that is because he new evander did not hit as hard tyson or lewis

This could have been a great fight. If Bowe showed up prepared the way he was in the first Holyfield fight, I'll take Bowe on points, in a closely contested battle.

If they fought in 1996, it would still have been extremely competitive, but less fireworks.

So your post was just bashing both fighters without giving an opinion as to the winner?

Who did Tyson fight? From Berbick to Williams, he fought and beat nothing but top notch competition at the time, and even afterwards against guys like Ruddock, Bruno, etc. Prior the his title reign he held wins over guys like Tillis, Frazier, Green, Ferguson, etc. All decent fighters. The guys in his title reign are very underrated though, guys like Tucker, Biggs, Thomas, etc.

I don't agree with that, but to beat Tyson in his prime would take a smart fighter with a good defense, enough power to get his respect, and the ability to frustrate Tyson and get him out of his rhythm

Bowe would play right into Tyson's hands by standing and trading with him

Bowe could take Tyson, as long as he stayed on the inside and smothered Tyson. Tyson didn't like bigger guys leaning on him/clinching him, even in his prime.

Mitch Green and Bonecrusher Smith had some sucess doing this. Even Tony Tucker. And I think Bowe was a very accomplished in-fighter. He would land shorter punches behind his jab, and Tyson, after a blazing start, would be stpped later, in my estimation.

yes some good fighters that were not as good as bowe took a peak tyson the distance so going on that i would say that the fight probably would have gone the distance, tyson wins though!!!!
