There is nothing amazing or unique about it. That has been part of boxing forever. Just recycling old ideas that people forgot about while they were reinventing the wheel Who are all these "experts" making these videos?
That maybe true, but the speed, intensity, power and precision with which he carried it out I think makes it pretty unique!
Agree with greynotsoold, nothing unique in the video, and if anything is amazing, It's the speed, technique and intensity of Tyson. Most boxers with decent coaches can do those moves but most haven't worked on them enough or they don't have the "explosiveness", or excellent body mechanics of Tyson. Most of the video is about slipping the opponent's punch and pivoting right or left while simultaneously cocking the body to throw a left or right. It does take practice and muscle memory to pivot and torque the body at the same time and Tyson, unlike many fighters recoils with each punch so that almost all of his punches have his feet, legs, hips and body behind them. Tyson had been taught good body mechanics, his elbows were in, he bent at the knees, his feet stayed the same distance apart, if he moved one, he moved the other, he also kept his shoulders mostly level, he doesn't "dip" his right shoulder when throwing the right or his left shoulder when throwing the left. That helps with his balance and ability to recoil and punch. When a young fighter learns his boxing techniques while using good body mechanics, he is usually ahead of the pack and when that fighter is also physically talented, he can go to the top.
Lol-- the first "move" in the video is basically the ball change and is taught in every decent boxing gym. I learned it when I was 10. The only thing special is how amazingly athletic Tyson was. In his prime, his speed and power is unrivaled at heavyweight.
