Tyson says he would have beaten V. & W. Klitschko in their prime.

I think it's either Tyson KO 5 Wlad or Wlad KO 11 Tyson. I can't pick between the two.

Tyson with his speed and power would eventually crack Wladimir's glass jaw.

Tyson vs. Vitali is one dream match I would love to see.

He WOULD Have... Prime for Prime, Peak for Peak.

Mike Tyson is arguably the Most Destructive HW in Boxing History.

Quite a few people here picking Wladimir to beat Tyson, and by stoppage no less.

I respect Wladimir because at various times in his career he's been pretty much the only really commendable fighter in a division which had become an absolute mess, but I think he's starting to get quite overrated on head-to-heads.

Who is the best guy Wladimir has beaten inside-schedule? There's no doubt the guy was a very hard hitter, but his KO percentage drops appreciably (he's far from alone in that respect, of course) when you look at his better competition. Guys like Ibragimov and especially Haye and Povetkin would feature very near the top of his list of best wins, and he didn't beat any of them by stoppage despite his size and weight advantages. The only men Wladimir has stopped who I'd put in even a similar bracket to those guys are Pulev and Chagaev. You can chuck Byrd and Peter in there if you like, but even then he only stopped the older and / or faded versions in rematches which took place six and five years later respectively having failed to the first time.

Even when Wladimir was at his best and most dominant, you knew that if he was facing anyone with a semblance of genuine KO power or any real degree of speed, he was going to fight a lot more negatively and foul his way through. If he's taking no chances and trying to lean all over the likes of Haye and Povetkin, how negative do you think he's going to be against Tyson? He's not getting Tyson out of there with one shot, and I doubt he'd be throwing anything more than singles with any power behind them before either backing off or going for the clinch.

Tyson's tendency to be passive and inactive in the clinches means he might be frustrated for a while against Wladimir, but Wlad is going to need more than that. Tyson could box as well as bang. I'd have Tyson stopping a very tired Wladimir on his feet around the 7th or 8th round.

Dude didnt quit with an axe wound on his face.

He'd destroyed prime Tyson. Tyson wouldnt be able to get inside. Vitali knew how to fight tall.

But he claimed it was from a knot and not LL's punches?!?! HAHAHAHA! Sounds like a quitter to me.

And Tyson knew how to slip the jab and get inside. Look, Quitalay quit in his 2 biggest fights in his entire ****in career: Quitaly quit 9 Byrd and Quitali TKO6 to Lennox.

Dude is a quitter. Tyson absolutely makes him eat his ribs for breakfast...lunch AND dinner.

I was being nice before, not so much anymore. Mike Tyson TKO 3 Vit-lays on that canvas soft spot!!

Tinkerbell quit against trash like Kevin McBride and domestic level plodders like Danny Williams. He also bitched out with a bit of a scratch on his eye against Holyfield and threw a hissy fit about headbutts like a whiny 3 year old.

Vitali makes Tyson his girlfriend (something Mike wouldn’t have any complaints about either).

A prime Tyson was too quick and ruthless for either klit.
Later on they might beat him but not before he fired his trainer.

Even knowing I don't like too much Tyson as a fighter I must say that he wpuld kill both of them in his prime inside of 7 rounds!

Tyson quit against a third rate scrub who couldn’t fight a lick.

I’m hard pressed to think of a supposed ATG (talking heavy weights) who lost to a hack like Kevin McBride at any stage of their career. Wlad at 40 was going life and death with AJ, Tyson at 38 was dogging it against McBride. Spot the difference?

I am not sure. The size of Vitali or Vlad is the problem for Mike. And as dominant as Mike was, when guys fought back he couldn't hang in there like Evander could.

I agree on these two fights but have to add many, who clearly overcame these limitations due to agility and speed: Dempsey, Tunney, Conn, Patterson, Leon Spinks, Michael Spinks, early HW Evander Holyfield, Chris Byrd. Only Holyfield (excluding Dempsey and Tunney here) could bring it to the absolute upper limit against big boys because of his beard (maybe exlcuding the Evan Fields theme here...), others from that list failed miserably due to the lack of power and (or) durability. But it was speed in the first place to make them rumble up in weightclass. Do your own thought exp.: Replace speed and agility of these guys with any other feature. It just doesn´t look proper.

Keep in mind that Tyson and Rocky had the same height (5'11). Thats a BMI for Rocky of 25.8 and 30.4 for MT @ 218. Unsurprisingly, the web is full of debate whether a person can afford a physique like that without doing ton of weight lifting or jucing. In other words: An endomorph stocky build like that is extremely rare and can be find much fewer out there than a stocky 25.8 BMI fellow like Rocky. Nowadays, it might be more appropriate to look for a Rocky type at LHW and a MT type at CW, with these boxers even more dry making weight. But even then, a stocky 199lb Tyson physique (BMI: 27.8) would be extremely rare.

Generally, you´d hear way to much overrated "destroy and dominate" eval. of fantasy ATG fights, compared to the problems these ATGs had against their "normal lower" opposition in reality. If you´d count MT evaluations of BF24 users you´d find pure domination 50 claims in a row, while real MT had to rumble with Smith, Tucker and Bruno inside like 35 fights at all. Claims would never fit reality here.
Someone could easily estimate an expected value (+ deviation) from early MT or Ali results and check them against written post.
