Saw this on another forum. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awA_lmZ0L6s Around 15.50 he says that it exists and is in Cuba. would love to see that!
I think somebody mentioned on this forum several years ago that the film of both fights (was unclear, whether only highlights or full version) was out there in the hands of certain collectors, but not advertised on any lists, the information about their existence being given out privately. No evidence was provided though.
It would be something to see. The #1 Welterweight of All Time against the # 3 or 4 Welterweight in history.
Tyson knew Cus D'Amato, Jimmy Jacobs, and Bill Clayton. The three had lot of old boxing films. Tyson might be a bad person, but has he ever really lied about boxing outside of his career?
Tyson might have views on the sport that some disagree with, but that is not really a lie. Tyson is with little doubt very, very knowledgeable about the history of this sport. But I suspect in this case he is just making a passing comment on speculation that has been around for years. The difference is his 'source' maybe first hand (Jacobs and/or Cayton).
