Mike Tyson seems to spend lots of time in the UK, I know he was recently in France at the Cannes film festival and also attended the Hatton fight. Maybe the UK and Europe have more of an understanding of Tysons personality and he is reseptive to it. Europe is much more forgiving and sophisticated and maybe Tyson finds more piece of mind over there. Just a thought though, but everytime I see pictures of him over there he seems calm and happy, they don't seem to dwell on his past and I think he will end up living there. Didn't Marvin Hagler move to Italy after the SRL fight and has been there ever since? He is also seen in the UK alot.
He gets treated like a king over here, whereas I have heard reports that when he is in vegas he drifts around with no one really paying much attention to him. Alot of it is to do with him getting paid for making speeches etc at functions so he probably makes sure he is on his best behaviour. Has the 'guest' mentality.
He was the very first person to go up and congratulate Hatton immediately after the bell. He ran up to tap Hatton on the glove.
If Tyson still has major financial problems, then maybe the UK is the best place for him. He should be able to get his debts written off, and live a comfortable live on benefits.
Don't think he is really doing that badly financially. He now has the same team that did all the PR/marketing for Ali after his retirement and will certainly have a few million in the bank even after his tax problems.
