I dont know Japanese, but I love the way it sounds when he's saying (what sounds like) "Tyson-gone-down" and the background music at the end adds atmosphere, with the camera focussing on Don King for a moment too. Funny. Snowell clearly says in the HBO documentary he brushed Tysons gloves off when he tried to stop sparring and told him to get back in there. Looks like Tyson quit to me? As I said in another post I spoke to Snowell last week and asked him about the Douglas fight. I found him to be very untruthful. Nice enough guy, but I guess he underestimated my knowledge of his accomplishments.
The Japanese are very intense, excitable and respectful regarding sports. Just watch a wrestling match over there, the you can hear a pin drop silence followed by the ecstatic, excited commentary when something big happens.
That was actually the case during the entire Douglas-Tyson fight. Creepy almost; so many people watching something so spectacular, in complete silence. The only audible people were the cornermen and Merchant/Lampley/Leonard. Page looks really good during that brief sparring session. I know it's just sparring, but he looked sharp, catching Tyson with those right hands coming in. Same punch that Holyfield later used to stop him.
