Tyson says whatever **** he wants, and whenever **** he pleases!!! :rant
He always did and always will!!! :nod
But, come on!!! Holy is master of "unintentional-looking" headbutt!!!
He's P4P at the butting and make it look like it's accidental!!! :-(
Just go and watch EVERY and EACH of his fights: whenever he clinches HE ALWAYS TRIES TO BUTT, ALWAYS!!! :wall
That big head ALWAYS in the dangerous position in the clinch!!! :gsg
Gotta give his props: HOLY ABSOLUTELY MASTERED THE TECHNICALS OF HEADBUTTING, HE"LL KILL YOU WITH HIS HEAD!!!:good

Your post seemed reasonable until you said this bit. Come on. To deny he headbutted sometimes is just silly.

I've seen just about every Holyfield fight there's been since his title conquest of Dwight Qawi.

.....and Rahman got the crap beat out of him by Holyfield.....

It was never conclusive if it was a headbutt that caused that big hemorage in his head......but we do know that Holyfield was repeatedly hitting him upside his head with shots.

Lets be real here, Rahman was just getting outclassed by Holyfield, the fact that a bump the size of a grapefruit grew upside his head is just an excuse for a reason he lost.

Sure Holyfield was winning the fight but he didn't beat the crap out of Rahman. And that big bumped that look like a big rock in Rahman forehead clearly proved that Holyfield use his head as the third weapon. Back in Holyfield days when he had hair, he didn't use all that much with the head but ever since he shave his head bald, he's been using his head as the third weapon alot of times.

I've never denied that there has been headbutts, but there is a difference between intentional and accidental headbutts.
I've never seen Holyfield swing his head with the deliberate intent to headbutt.
I've clearly explained my opinion on how Holyfield tucks his chin real tight, and when you have two aggressive fighters fighting for the same spot to be in, heads are going to collide.

You know, Mike Tyson was real cool about it right after Holyfield had just stopped him the first time......
Tyson was asked if he had been headbutted, and he answered that he had, but that he'd probably thrown his head in there as well......
Tyson initially viewed those headbutts as accidental.....it was'nt until Rory Holloway and that group of thugs got into Tyson's head and convinced him that Holyfield had deliberately headbutted him, is when Tyson changed his tune about the headbutts being deliberate.

Now Tyson is saying that he was pissed that Holyfield was just great.....
..... that it lends credence to what he originally said right after their first fight, that Holyfield was just the better fighter.

Forgotten in all of this is how grateful and sportmanlike Tyson was after he had just been stopped in 11 rounds by Evander.......right after the fight Mike Tyson directed himself toward Holyfield and said, "man, I just want to shake your hand."
......conceding that he had been outperformed by Holyfield.

Why would Tyson give this for an answer then if it appears clear that the headbutt did in fact trouble him, could have frustrated him. He was complaining a lot to the referee but the fight just went on.

..AND butting his head. I'd do the same if I were Mike. Except that on top of that I'd kick Holyfield in the groin as well. Looking at the circumstances, props to Tyson for keeping his composure and just biting Holy's ear.

Anyways, it was great seeing him on Oprah. He became such a sensitive person.

Rory Holloway was the joke of a trainer that was supposedly training Mike Tyson for his fights after his prison time......
......those jokers were the one's who carried a balloon and put it over Tyson's swollen eye in his fight with Douglas......

.....after the first fight, these jokers were the ones that went to the press with the story that Tyson had been headbutted and could'nt remember a damn thing that occured after it......
.....Tyson had been so gracious in defeat, but apparently these jokers convinced Tyson that it was the headbutt that beat him, and just a few days after the fight, Tyson in rewatching the fight as a studio guest with both he and Holyfield present to talk about it, had changed his tune.
Everytime Tyson was asked a question about what was going through his mind at certain points in the fight, all of his answers came back, "I cant remember anything about the fight.":patsch:roll:

Funny that he could'nt remember anything about the fight, but during his ringwalk and staredown with Evander Holyfield for their rematch......Tyson looked completely stiff and scared.....enough that he could'nt bring himself to look Holyfield in the eye.

That's honesty and any Tyson fan can see it despite hiding behind excuses we loved to believe to keep the idea of him losing fairly out of discussion.

You can see in the rematch Tyson discourage/frustrated in the very first round. Instead of Tyson being the one to stun/back off Holyfield as expected it was the other way around, Holy rocked him with a punch and followed him with another straight right that all backed Tyson off and had him in trouble. From then you can see Tyson slowly applying cheating tactics by twisting Holyfield's arm trying to break it like he did with Botha and others you can tell it wasn't going anywhere. What lost him all hope is catching Holyfield in the third with a clean shot that shook Holy but still he punched back and backed Tyson off then the bite came and the rest is history.

Tyson sometimes says different things at different times (and depending upon the audience) and appears sincere in saying each, but you can't use what he said on Oprah as the only motivation for why he bit evander. Tyson is "big" on "being humble" and "brutally honest" these days, so naturally he's gonna try and be the nice guy and say "evander was just too tough that's why I bit him" etc. The truth is probably that he was frustrated at how good evander was in combination with the headbuts.
