in the documentary he said it was because he was frustrated with Holyfield's headbutting. When he was cut above the eye and Holyfield tried to headbutt him there, thats when Tyson said he absolutely lost it.
He also said he was pissed off that he kept butting him. He said he was tired of the headbutts and pissed that he was such a great fighter.
I could only bare to watch about 5 minutes of the Oprah interview. This guy is just a mess of a man. He's probably the kind of guy that tears up when those sappy life insurance commercials come on tv. Sad to see what he's been reduced to but he is a product of his own deviance and rage. His demons have completely consumed him and now own his life. What remains is a tortured, desperate soul. If I were a family member or friend, I'd put him under a constant suicide watch.
What Tyson is saying is part of "Closure" and "Acceptance", all psychiatrists urge their patients to seek it - it has NOTHING to do with how many times Holyfield headbutted him. the end.
Are you ******ed? Lewis clearly won that fight.loool All your sick rambling about unintentional headbutts is pathetic too. These holyfield pathetic fanboys make me sick. These idiots want to speak about Tyson all the time cause Holy got destroyed by Bowe twice or decked by bums like Bert Cooper. Lewis defeated him easily.lol Damn straight!!! Now i get it holy crazy fans trying to manipulate things. Holyfield was a steroid addict.
Yes. Holyfield is a dirty fighter. You can't deny that. The guy uses every cheat in the book. Tyson has had years to reflect on this, and Mike knows how to give the answers people want to hear. People have a tendency to become or portray what other want them to be. I'm more inclined to belive his initial answer because, well, I have eyes. I saw Holyfield's butts...over and over again, in many different fights. Tyson likes to say now that he was washed up after Tokyo... he was by no means finished, but it's become an acceptable thing to say, so he goes along with it. Makes him feel better to, I guess? Doen't make it the turth.
Tyson's been pretty consistent regarding the bite, if not other things. He's always said he was mad that he was getting butted and just wanted to hurt Holyfield. Now he throws in a "Holyfield was a great fighter" (which he's said before), but his answers regarding the bite haven't really changed much.
