He definately was gun shy in the first Peter fight. And no he doesn't tend to throw more when pressured, he tends to go into his shell and start backing up and flicking the jab which is suicide against Tyson. In fact just entering the ring with a glass jaw like WALDO has is suicide against Tyson. No way in hell does WALDO with his fragile chin even come remotely close to giving prime Tyson a fight.

He hasn't lost in 6 years because the competition has all been crap or shot, simple as that.

He was gunshy against peter? Have you seen the fight? And it was one of his worst performances. When have you seen him going in his shell? We are talking about different fighters here. You just made an assumption that certain things will happen without any basis to conclude that. And calling a guy who never stayed down a glass jawed is rich.

Yeah I admit Rudock did but Tillis was back pedaling feather fisted and tyson did poorly against journeyman who could not crack an egg.

The fat, diabetic Buster Douglas had prime Tyson sprawled pathetically on the canvas at Douglas's feet, reaching catetonically for his mouthpiece while being unceremoniously counted out by the ref. Either prime Vitali or even harder hitter Wlad frustrate the half-crazed midget and have him biting looking to be disqualified or he mans up and fights and gets K'oed by the bros. It would not even be competitive. He was mentally unbalanced as was Riddick Bowe who kidnapped his own wife. These crack-addled, undisciplined clowns would not stand up to the professional, technically flawless K-bros with their awesome ring generalship, two-fisted power and iron determination. Their incredible discipline outside the ring this past decade is just another reason they leave their opponents in hospital, begging for mercy in their own corners or at the K-bros feet.

Say what you want but Douglas at the time was a ranked contender who had already fought for the world title, the same can NOT be said of Sanders, Brewster or Purrity.

Nobody in the history of the heavyweight division would have an easy night with Vitali, if you've posted a comment along these lines: "Tyson would kill both Klits on the same night" you're an idiot or huge Tyson fan that's blinkered.

IMO Tyson would win and win early vs Wlad, constant pressure, and his movement would have Wlad struggling to T off with his 1-2's.

Vitali is a different ball game totally, Tysons shots wouldn't have the impact they have on Wlad. I could see Tyson winning the early rounds but the second half of the fight is where it's won or lost.

Ask yourself, who did Tyson ever beat, who had a solid chin, that was as good as Vitali? Spinks? Holmes? Nah...........

That Tyson would waste both Klit sisters. Wlad in 2, and Vitali in 6.

A old, fat Lewis beat Vitali. Now ask yourself.... would an old, fat Lewis beat the 80's Tyson?

He beat him BUT it didn't go past 6 and lets be honest Tyson was never the same in the later rounds as he was early, he slowed.
Also factor in the fact Vitali is 6'7, Lewis is 6'5. Lewis's reach was key to landing shots back at Vitali, hows a 5'11 with a 9" reach disadvantage going to do the same? He gets inside he gets smothered.
Lewis's size and reach was very important in breaking down Vitali, 2 assets Tyson doesn't have.

    Also, Lewis > Tyson :yep

In a recent interview on this fine website Big George talked about Evander Holyfield's heart and determination but emphasized his weak punching power relative to naturally bigger heavyweights, which makes sense. Evander was coming up from cruiserweight. That same Holyfield knocked Buster Douglas the spark out early in their fight for the title. Sanders and Brewster were very powerful punchers with great chins. Purrity defeated a prime Morrison. Sure Morrison got the nod but Purrity knocked him down and outclassed Tommy. It was straight up robbery. Purrity defeated a baby Wlad, the dude was barely out of diapers professionally. Wlad is a great all-round well-schooled prizefighter now and would outthink and outsyche and outbox the crazy little maniac that captured all the American's fascination. Hell, people are still fascinated by another half-crazed midget, Charles Manson. The great Joe Frazier once said during Manson's trial that just looking at the little monster made him run to his Bible and begin praying. Manson's crazed eyes put terror into him. But Manson would not outbox Joe nor would crazy Mike beat prime Wlad in the ring.

Tyson got beat by a ranked contender who had fought for a title, i didn't make excuses by bringing up the fact that Douglas had just lost his mother and trained extremely hard or that Tyson wasn't serious in Japan. You on the other hand shitted on Tyson for losing to Douglas but than make up all kinds of excuses for Wlad who lost to fighters (not 1 or 2 but 3) who were FAR WORSE than Douglas.
