tyson the best boxer ever

well guy said best "boxer" at hw. his skills at prime were close to best ever. what other hw was ring magz' pfp best end of the year for two years? ( i know pfp is a new distinction).

Of course this thread is silly. But there remains a decent quesiton hidden in here.

Most heavies are flat footed type fighters. Lewis, Louis, Holmes (mostly), Foreman etc

Now only Ali, who is clearly the best boxing heavyweight of all time, moves terribly better than a prime tyson.

Tyson has tremendous boxing ability, hand speed, head movement good footwork. Arguably he has the best head movement of any heavy i have ever seen. Smokin Joe also had good head movement, but not as good as tyson.

 

Absolutely my favorite fighter of all time, but I don't know if he was the best ever. I certainly think he ranks high on the list though....He was just devastating.

And Lewis-Holy beat Tyson's ass to because they were better and mentally stronger, Tyson was mentally weak and couldn't deal with adversity..

Mike Tyson is pretty darn good in the 80's, maybe the best for his size. Marciano and Frazier would be the only ones I can think of that could beat him that is his size.

If Tyson got in shape like Evander is doing now, I would still pay to watch him. People will always argue who is the best, but I think Tyson for sure is the best boxer to draw the biggest crowds because of the KO potential he brings to every second of a fight.
