Usually P4P #1 rankings are given to non-HW as recognition of their skills and dominance. But if i remember correctly, Tyson was both HW and P4P Champ for a few years. Was he the last HW to gain both distinctions?
Tyson was the last HW Champ that I can think of that was rated #1 p4p. RJJ was a HW titlist though (LL was the real champ) and was #1 after the Ruiz fight.
Mike Tyson was the last HW Champ who was also P4P King. Roy Jones was HW titlist and P4P King. Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis and Wladimir Klitschko were HW Champs and also ranked in the P4P Top10.
Wlad wanted to marry Hayden so that he could become an American citizen. He would have gone straight to the top of the P4P.
I've heard that a young Holyfield was also considered #1 p4p or near the #1 spot back when he was champ, but I was far too young back then so I can't confirm or deny this.
Nah, he wasn't. Chavez was ranked #1, and Whitaker was behind him. Holyfield was ranked #6 p4p at the end of 1990. Holyfield actually wasn't all that respected in his first run as HW champ, especially when you think of how well respected he became. He was given a lot of criticism in his opposition in old Foreman & Holmes, and getting dropped against replacement Cooper.
lewis was high after beating tyson and previoulsy beat holyfield, around top 6. now wlad is around top 6. but p4p king as a heavyweight we gonne wait a looonnnnnnnnggggg time.

Hey its Rushman! Did you wake up from a Klitschko based dream to post this unrelevant piece of wank? I shoud say, I still have your sister in my shed. I've been using her as my spunk bucket for about a year now. She says she misses you and can't wait to feel your silky soft touch next to hers. Anyway, im off to spit my fat into her. See you later!
