You clearly haven't followed his career and seen the fights very well. Go watch the Ray Mercer fight as an example of how wrong you are.

This. Wlad can't muscle fury and is also giving up lots of reach. Fury can also box unlike Pulev or Wach.

How old was Ray that night ?52 or something .perhaps Vlad could fight Furys old chap then he could really put on a show. he could steal old John's pension book for few extra quid.

I find it hilarious that at the press conference that wlad just sat there and took all of fury's insults. His facial expression never changed the whole time. It's like as if he was ok with being insulted.

    Weird...

I don't think Fury had a chiseled physique in their first fight so his "flabbiness" shouldn't make that big of a difference.

If Wladimir doesn't put punches together in the same hesitant manner as he did in their first fight, than Fury should cruise to a UD. If Wladimir decides to stay in Fury's chest and actually throw more than a singular punch, than this fight should be much more competitive the second time around.

How sad Wlads fight with Mercer is being used to prove he was some kind of beast :-(

Thats like saying how good Povetkin is and using the Hasim Rahman fight as an example

That fight was so long ago the footage is in black and white and it still took WALDO 36 rounds to finally stop an ancient Mercer.

That's because in his prime he never had to come out flying to beat anyone. Wlad knows what's at stake in this fight and exactly what he needs to do to win. This isn't rocket science. Fury is not the second coming of Ali or anything. He is available to be hit. The left hook and right straight were available all night but Wlad was content enough to have a light sparring session, it was bizzare. Still Fury barely did enough to win the rounds that he did. This fight will be very different.

neither one bothered to fight the first time. why bother training for what will probably resemble shadow boxing and ballroom dancing?

It seems people pick wlad onky because of how weak fury is in too many areas. In reality, wlad shouldn't even be able to spar competitively for 12 rounds, athletes his size break down so much quicker than normal sized men, even 6'2" 225 lbs, that's light years different than 6'7" 245 lbs AT forty 40 years old.

Only hw top 10, (my top 10) that I'd pick wlad to win is against fury. I'm picking 4th round tko, no real confidence in that 4th round tko but the payout would be nice.

Confident wlad can and will beat fury but I'm starting to think its going to be another terrible stinker with only a handful of clean effective shots landed per fighter.

For the entire fight, clean effective shots are allergic to both these big men
